Lemmur is a mobile lemmy client that I and @shilangyu have been working on for quite some time. It’s supposed to give you seamless experience when using multiple instances.
It’s available for android, windows and linux, although it is mainly targeted towards mobile devices. The experience on other platforms might be less satisfactory.
This is only an alpha release so not everything will be working, there are some parts of the app that aren’t finished. But we believe it is usable enough for people to browse their favorite instances.
At the moment we would prefer to focus on fixing bugs rather than implementing arbitrary features so if you have any bugs or crashes please let us know in the comments or create an issue on github. Screen recordings are welcome (github now supports uploading .mp4
and .mov
files), it’s always easier to understand the problem through visuals rather than words only.
If you’d like to see a version for iOS on the apple app store or just generally would like to support the development you can chip in over on patron or buymeacoffee, which will help cover the $99 developer license.
Here are some screenshots of the app: https://imgur.com/a/B5XhhXQ

Fdroid would be really cool, as it is the only appstore I’m using.
awesome! how’s that going? What are your go-to apps?

Of course :)
Waiting anxiously to test it out :pleading face:
Congratulations, and thanks so much for lemmur.
Everyone who can please contribute to their patreon, they put a lot of work into it, and lemmur will probably help grow lemmy’s userbase more than anything else.

Installed, working great
Nice, I’ve just created an account and I’m using the app right now. (Never bothered to sign up until now, I guess this encouraged me.)
One thing, is it pronounced Lem - mur or as the word Lemur?
Congratulations, awesome app, instantly enjoyed the design. Currently posting this comment from it lol Seriously, thanks so much for this.
nice, congrats! are you guys using a cross platform framework?
Thanks! Yes, we’re writing this in flutter
do you plant to release for ios?
yes, we do. how quickly will mostly depend on how big will the demand be
I’d definitely be interested in testing on iOS whenever it’s available. Great work!
Also, cute logo!

Awesome! Looks like the issue with logging in on Android 11 phones has been fixed.
I confirm. Though I had to uninstall the previously installed apk in order to be able to install the newer version.

That’s so cool!
btw, I haven’t used Lemmy since around Oct 2020; has federation been implemented yet?

Typing this with Lemmur. Great job!
thank you <3
I’m seeing a post from !communism@lemmygrad.ml in my feed, however, I’m sure I’m not subscribed to that community, is that a bug?
depends; is it in your subscribed feed? shouldn’t be in that or the local feed. lots of people had “all” as their default view which would show it.
Seems it was an artifact from being not logged in previously, not seeing it anymore.
Hey, glad to hear it! How are users liking it?
this is amazing thank you so much
