I started playing Mafia with a friend, since it was free on Steam, but we still need to finish it.

I started playing Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor, which is an indie game where you are… well, a spaceport janitor, and it basically works like Doom, you have NPCs’ sprites that follow the players aim, and there are aliens and stuff and you work incinerating trash in this neat little place. It’s a chill game that does not pressure the player and encourages exploration, you live your life day after day (on Theday there is always a carnival, and no curfew), shitty food after shitty food, gender swap after gender swap, and so on.

I also finished Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and it is truly a great work which has some Marxist (even if maybe a bit flawed) analysis in it, it even finishes with a Trotsky quote, which I know is not the best but in terms of video games it raises the bar; thank you The Chinese Room.

I also finished The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, a Polish walking simulator which oh my fucking god is good, the story is okay, nothing super exceptional but the narration and the ambience is magnificent. You are kind of a detective/medium figuring out some murders in some forest that’s in the borders of Poland and Germany, so you have all this beautiful mountains, rivers, creeks, trees, caves, and it’s an open world map (of course the invisible walls are easily findable, but all in all you have a big space to explore). They used a technique called photogrammetry which I don’t have the slightest idea how it works, but I have never seen a forest so alive in a video game in my life, this game would be perfect to have an acid trip and just wander there with a VR.

LOOK AT THESE PEBBLES AND TELL ME THESE ARE NOT THE MOST REALISTIC PEBBLES YOU’VE SEEN IN A VIDEO GAME!

    LOOK AT THIS PLACE!

LOOK AT THIS OTHER PLACE WITH SUN AND TREES!

    IT’S BEAUTIFUL, SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Ambiance, you say? I’ve been looking for good ambiance in a video game for a while. And yeah, that game does look like it would be good in VR, though I’ve never played a game in VR at all. I wouldn’t mind though…

Currently playing Slay the Spire with mods. I never tried it to hard, but still having a lot of fun after hours and hours. Also playing some Heroes of the Storm. And I also have to continue Hades that I put aside but did not finish.

The next game I will buy will probably be Tunic. And I want to try the original Bayonetta : I’ve never played a single game from the saga and it seems to be a classic.

I managed to beat it three times total and with 2 characters only for now. I have to admit I have a hard time choosing to reject a new card choice, wich is a very bad strategy…

As always, I’m currently playing Destiny 2. I’m grinding Master Nightfalls for Ascendant Shards and the Leviathan for Haunted Umbral energy. Grandmaster strikes return in a few days and I’m nervous and excited. This will be my 3rd time guilding the Conqueror seal.

I’m excited for Gotham Knights releasing in a few weeks.

That last game seems neat, but for some reason, the premise doesn’t intrigue me that much.

YMMV on if you like role-playing games. I like western RPG’s, and while Gotham Knights isn’t set in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham games, it definitely seems like a spiritual successor. And I love the Arkham games.

Got Bonelabs on my Quest 2. Making you have to play six minigames then do a claw game six times just to play the second campaign level was annoying, but it seems pretty neat so far.

Ark is a very fun game, too bad it eats up an entire hard drive for me. I have a 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. The HDD is too slow to handle it, so I always need to install it on my SSD but it eats something like 60% of it in the process…

I tend to mostly play Roguelikes nowadays. I find they’re great when you only have time to play sporadically. Some of my favorite recent games were:

    • Dead Cells
    • Death’s Door
    • Tunic
    • Stray
    • Children of Morta

Currently playing Neon Abyss and planning to play Cult of the Lamb next.

One of my fav game devs are Motion Twin cause they’re a worker coop. They’re the guys who made Dead Cells.

Played 2077 after watching Edgerunners, it’s at least in a decent playable state after the latest patches lol.

They finally added costume setting in 1.6, so you can now overwrite your outfit’s appearance without worrying about how silly your best armour pieces look.

Probably counts as pretty good depending on expectations, waited 2 years to play this version and at least the main character quests are pretty well done.

It’s still not the living/breathing world that was promised but at least the crowds don’t disappear when you turn around now lol.

Get it for PC and you wont regret it. The modding community has basically done just about everything CDPR said they would do.

I play the game with companion drones, flying cars, and vehicle combat.

And the vehicle combat adds more realistic crime and even gangs will call for backup where the gangs roll in with their vehicles and swarm you. Cops do this too.

Got into an all out war with the sixth street gang and it got ridiculous. I had a militech mech on my side mowing down these dudes and theyre calling in waves of backup because i still couldnt kill them fast enough. It was basically 50 in 2. Absolute hot gates battle.

I’ve been playing a ton of SWTOR since mid-July. I’m honestly kind of sick of it, because I fucked up with most of my characters early on in one way or nother and I’ve been making new toons to try and engineer a perfect Main. I haven’t even started the damn DLCs yet.

I’m playing thru Earthbound for SNES. I love how funny and quirky it is. I’m glad to be playing on an emulator for unlimited save states.

I’m gonna play the SNES Zelda game next. On an SNES tear.

I recently got the urge to go back and play the Hitman series again after watching a youtuber play some levels. I’m attempting to get suit only silent assassin in every level. I’ve completed the entire first game and I’m currently on the second game. IOI really outdid themselves with the series. I’ve always been a huge fan of the franchise but what they’ve done with the series is top notch.

For the QotW im a huge FromSoft nerd. The first game I played was sekiro and no video game experience has matched me finally beating that game. Since then I’ve been playing every game. I’m currently on Dark Souls 1 after finishing Bloodborne, Demon’s Souls, and Elden Ring.

Right now I’m heavily focused on my Old School RuneScape account. I’m going for Level 99 Crafting on my F2P-only Ironman which means I need to make roughly 250k tiaras, should take me about 800 hours to complete this grind.

If there’s any other OSRS players out there feel free to add me but don’t expect me to be able to play anything with you lol, my RSN is IronShrimp92
