I haven’t heard of either that game or it’s adaptation, but I’ll add it to my to-watch list. And I understand the complaint about overused tropes, we can only hope some of them turn out decent.

I understand what you mean, I often find myself wanting “more” of a show I enjoyed, “more” of the characters and world and interactions and above all not wanting to see the end of these characters story, after I’ve grown so attached to them. But consciously I understand it’s better for it to have a meaningful ending rather than to drag on and lose that special spark. An ending also leaves room for things to remain mysterious, like in Haibane Renmei, with every episode I wondered what lied beyond the walls but we never got to find out and I’m almost fine with that.
I used to follow airing series on a weekly basis, waiting for the episode to drop on anime piracy sites, but once I started downloading anime in high quality, the lack of buffering and being able to just binge multiple series was too good to go back from.
