It was gold crown largest. I don’t remember the actual size I forgot to write it down. lol But it was a big ol cat dragon.

Oh lord they big!! I love it when it’s a gold crown smallest and it’s like “awwwh chibi” before I slaughter it.

Also as a fellow charge blade user… Nice and based.

I do CB and HH depending on the group and the monster. CB in Sunbreak is so much fun though. So much more mobile and the wirebug Arial SAED just dumpsters. HH has some weird moves but if you hit right you can stun the shit out of stuff. Also the sharpness regen song is just… Just so gud.

And yeah gold crown smallest are hilarious like “I want to keep it as my pet.”

Based, see you actually help. I’m CB, DB and IG so I’m just flying about constantly trying to do all the anime moves and damage. I help by not carting lol.

I need to get into it properly I’m just so crap at sitting down and playing and maintaining concentration.

Yeah that’s a few ppl in my squad. lol. I generally just don’t have time to dedicate to a wide variety of games so I just focus on a few I can actually play and beat. Also I’m a tight ass and don’t spend a lot of money on games. lol.

I will say the end game of this one is suuuper grindy and it kills the fun for a lot of ppl that don’t like to grind. At the same time it also adds something for the ppl that actually like to hunt repeatedly for the sake of hunting so that’s nice. I haven’t gotten my late game HH set down just yet so I’ve been running CB. I do more utilitarian focused builds instead of raw dps. Doing ridiculous DMG can be fine and all but I like being able to take hits and generally have a little easier time and my dps isn’t THAT much lower cause I have so much up time. There’s a new skill from Gold Rathian that basically turns you into the juggernaut when the monster enrages. Makes you immune to tremors, wind, ROARS, etc and adds some defense. Like… Uh yes please? Like the monster enrages, I get the buff, the monster roars from it’s enrage, but I am now immune and just SAED it in the face. lol

Oh wow that gold rathian skill sounds incredible.

Yeah I spent ages min maxing sets on the vanilla game and they weren’t exactly min maxed because like you I want that ability to react to all situations and actually take a hit but I made them a specified to all the elements I use etc so I was feeling great and now I’m like “all my beautifully crafted sets are for naught”.

I feel pretty worn out at this point. I just did the MR70 quest. Now I have to grind to MR100 and it seems to far away. Maybe I will continue at some later point.

I’ve recently beaten Gone Home, which was beautiful and great (I was reading a book about walking simulators and it is such an important game I really needed to play it after so long); then I beat Penumbra: Overture since I played Amnesia: The Dark Descent earlier this year and I wanted to see how Frictional’s first works were, it is certainly inferior to Amnesia but still good considering it was released almost two decades ago and it had some mechanical and budgetary limitations and what not; yesterday I finished Finding Paradise which is the second entry in the To The Moon series, which was pretty good; I’m currently 8 hours into Deus Ex (and oh my god, what a game I have to say, so much politics involved, criticism of post 911 “terrorist prevention” policies, vigilance of the populace, the cause of homelessness, even stuff like capitalism making you live with diseases such as COVID-19 and so on, I am truly speechless at the marvelous of this game).

Alternatively, I’ve also been playing Pokémon Unite and Stardew Valley with some friends; I’ve reached master rank on Pokémon. B)

Yeah, AFAIK, the rest of the franchise deviated completely from the politics in the original and it is only some bland cyberpunk bad corpo shit.

I’ve never played through the original 2 Deus Ex games, but I have them both on my computer through GOG.

Despite its flaws and Sinophobia and a bit of neoliberalism, I think that Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a fantastic game.

I can’t bring myself at the moment to play through Mankind Divided, since it constantly demonizes the former Soviet Union for liberating Prague, and waxes so much sand about how evil the Soviets were.

The game play is fine, in my opinion, you have some rough edges, jumping is ridiculously stupidly bad, managing your inventory is tedious and the rest is fine, it’s not a super fast paced shooter but I really like that, but the best part is the story, totally, I can’t think of a video game with this much politics. Maybe Spec Ops: The Line, but it’s not so direct, and it does not have so many discourses about real life, plus Deus Ex predicted the future, SOTL is a critique of modern intervention in the Middle East.

Been catching up on FFXIV lately. Wish I had a good traditional pvp fps to sink my teeth into, really box up the competitive urge for good again; but there’s really nothing for that that doesn’t suck off the American military in some way anymore. My favorite genres are all dead.

How active is the community still? I played back before you could land on planets and shit. Being a space bounty hunter was fun for a while. Never got up to a Python which is, imo, one of the coolest of the ships. It’s kind of reminds me of if the Delta flyer from Star Trek Voyage had a bigger, tankies brother. I always wanted to get one and just go exploring but I never got that far into the game before all my friends stopped playing.

      • As far as I know, still rather active, though admittedly I play mostly solo, so I didn’t interact much with wider community.

There is a communist-theme player faction, the Communist Interstellar Union, that I used to mess around with. I haven’t really participate with them that much anymore because, well, I’m an explorer. I hardly get within 1000 lightyears of any inhabited systems to begin with.

I’m playing Story of Seasons (made by Harvest Moon devs). I’m in my second year and after spending a season of chatting and giving gifts to Reina we’re now gay married. A little slow by lesbian standards but they tried

My fav genres are really subgenres: metroidvanias and roguelites

Fav devs… Maybe Team Cherry or Re-logic

  • I got a basically new Quest 2 for cheap so I’ve been pirating every VR game out there. Playing Half Life Alyx of course, but Resident Evil 4 VR is amazing. I never played it before but it’s scary as heck in VR.

    1. Osu lol, as well a nice new visual novel called siren’s call.
    2. 3d platformers and RPGs for sure

QW: Nintendo 😭😭😭 EPD more specifically. EPD did make lees than great games in the Wii U era

Been sinking even more hours into No Man’s Sky lately. Advancing my freighter base is a bit of a pain, trying to plan its layout is even worse. But I got a top tier, rare squid-nose exotic spaceship by pure chance, so that’s nice

I instantly got hooked when I played it again. And unlike when I played it all those years ago, it really feels like there is a lot of things to do.

Just recently grinded out for this ball black and white exotic I saw right when it flew out of the space station. Now I am trying to find an A or S class royal/alien multi-tool but to no avail. I know you can follow coordinates/ use portals into systems with the guaranteed tool but I like finding it myself.

I feel that! It’s just more enjoyable to feel this sense of achievement when you do that on your own. And yeah, Devs really have been dumping new things into it. Pirate missions, settlements, etc. Basically you can just do what you like more.

It reminds me of Minecraft honestly with the free updates, and procedurally generated open worlds. I used to play Minecraft a lot (I still do but not as much), and NMS kinda gives me the same vibes, especially the exploration and building part.

I remember having to afk in the anomaly and someone just gave me a stack of fusion ignitors when I came back. I just started playing then (I think less than 15hours into the game) and I was really happy lmao. It made me want to be the guy that gives out those free ignitors one day.

    1. Completed It Takes Two recently and oh boy we felt really bad about …

      spoiler

      The poor elephant scene

    2. Shooters, RPGs, RTS

Really like Bethesda but mainly because of the sheer size of the modding community of their games.
