two terms, three words
I wouldn’t personally interpret this as satire without clarification (it’s not ridiculous enough to me compared to the nonsense liberals post), but maybe I’m in the minority
Reactionary content like this belongs in /c/shitreactionariessay@lemmygrad.ml.

The latest post removal in that community’s modlog is seven months ago. I can’t speak for individual mods, but we rarely remove posts that contain worthwhile comments. On a few occasions, a user’s posts and comments were unintentionally removed when banning them, but that will hopefully not happen again.

We generally don’t, are you referring to a particular post?

thanks, I forgot to update the links
As mentioned previously, mutual aid requests on Lemmygrad should be posted exclusively in /c/mutual_aid@lemmygrad.ml.

Greenland is roughly 90% indigenous people; US occupation would be even worse than their current semi-colonial status

Remember to cite your sources, don’t just post screenshots or excerpts.

I’m not arguing against it, I’m explaining what the purpose of this community is. If you want a community where tossing hollow insults at other users is acceptable, you’ll have to visit another instance.

(PSA: the reading group on Lemmygrad is not on hiatus, we’ve just moved to /c/theory@lemmygrad.ml)

It doesn’t.
The purpose of this community is sort of a “work out your frustrations by letting it all out” where different leftist tendencies can vent their frustrations with one another and more assertively and directly challenge one another. Hostility is allowed, but any racist, fascist, or reactionary crap wont be tolerated, nor will explicit threats.
“Hostility is allowed” doesn’t mean “the purpose of this community is to be pointlessly inflammatory”. Replying with an image of pig shit isn’t “challenging” any of the arguments in this thread. Sure, there’s nothing explicitly stating that it’s not allowed, but the instance rules apply to every community, and such a comment would be removed anywhere else on this instance.
Ultimately, if you dislike the concept of this community, feel free to block it.

Even if we were more lenient with rule 3 in this community, a comment consisting of nothing but an image of a pig taking a shit is just pointlessly inflammatory

There is no active mod for this community, so one of the admins removed the comment and assigned a one-day temp ban. As far as I know, none of us have greenlit any community to add an exception to rule 3.

Unfortunately, you should just assume that anything you post on public platforms is practically impossible to delete. “Deleting” something from Reddit doesn’t prevent anyone from accessing a cached version of the page, and I would be very surprised if the owners of Reddit didn’t store “deleted” posts and comments; the difference is that it’s easier for regular people to access “deleted” content for decentralized platforms like Lemmy. (Of course, we should still fix any federation issues that exist between Lemmygrad and Hexbear.)
Regarding the votes, I’ve been told it’s an ActivityPub issue. Perhaps we could hide the usernames when responding to requests from other instances, but I have no experience with the protocol. It would facilitate faking votes, but that’s fairly easy to do anyway.
