It’s probably that the recent #facebookdown is part of this.

It’s very creepy that a fraction of humanity info gets leaked. It’s more people than the population of China.

While innocent people getting doxed is obviously a bad thing, I hope this would be a fatal blow to Facebook.

Doesn’t matter if it’s 75%, 50% or even 1%, in terms of Facebook accounts it’s still big number of people.

Facebook is worse when it comes to privacy and security as we all know.

IMO google is better with security.

Facebook still probably stores their users passwords in plaintext

Google has an alright security but they’re absolutely atrocious when it comes to privacy. Now even making an account on gmail requires you to give away your phone number.

They both are cringy about privacy. But I think that I agree. As I said in other comment I hear a lot of data leaks problems with facebook lately.

It’s alleged that the data was obtained by scraping publicly available data shared by users. Several media outlets and Twitter users misinterpret this to have resulted due to a hack or data breach, which is not the case.

Well then, the people will surely learn from this, like the last few times this happened 🤡
