Honestly love any kind of game that is made with quality. Love JRPGs my favorite being Persona 5 Royal, tho i get burned out at times, right now i am playing through SMT5 it’s awesome and incredible that it runs on the switch tells you a lot about Gamefreak incompetence on Pokemon games. Also playing Terraria again because of the Labour of love patch, my favorite game ever. If i manage to finish SMT5 this month i might gift myself Ogre Tactics Reborn for the switch as i will need another JRPG to sink all my free time.

Why do people love Terraria so much? I haven’t played it but I want to. I don’t know what to expect or if I’ll really be surprised.

I seriously don’t know how to express my love for the game. Grabbed it for like $3 bucks on a steam sale like 6-7 years ago just because i liked the 2D aesthetics and it was supposed to be a ‘2d minecraft’, but it turned out to be much much more than that. Just try it, it will be the best $5 you’ll ever spend.

I love Terraria because it’s a solid 2D exploration and crafting action platformer and they’ve been giving out free content updates for almost a decade now and they’ve usually been substantial updates. Currently there’s 30+ bosses, 300+ enemies, 600+ weapons, and 1000s of other items and blocks both functional and decorative. Aside from combat there’s mining and building, with all sorts of decorative blocks and furniture sets and lighting options, and a wiring system to do all sorts of projects. I spend almost as much time making personalized houses for the NPCs that I do combat. And this just scratches the surface honestly. It’s a deep, rewarding game with a lot going for it if you can get into it.

Oh and if you have friends that play, it has multiplayer. Default max is 8, but the technical limit is 255. Not that I’d suggest trying that many lol

Sounds good. Any lore? Don’t tell me about it if there is; I just want to know if there’s any lore to dig into.

Firstly always use an adblocker like uBlock Origin when going to websites. If you use torrents you’ll want a VPN, I recommend Mulvad VPN and qBittorent. Websites like cs.rin.ru keep track of what games are cracked and updated, fitgirl-repacks.site has great torrents, ovagames.com has direct links but you’ll have to download files in parts, you’ll need 7zip to unpack those.

So you can run thru a whole game? Seems it takes forever just to get started

I just console-command through some gameplay loop that I got tired of stucked into.

As for running the game itself, my computer is reasonably powerful enough thanks to the university recommendation. You’ll be surprise how much Matlab can consume sometimes. The result is a computer that is pretty overkill for most video game, and just about adequate for Terra Invicta.

Seriously, TI really suck in optimization. Opening the full tech tree can take up to 10 seconds.

Recently finished Inscryption, and currently stuck on the first boss of Tunic.

But Tunic will have to wait, since Dwarf Fortress came out yesterday ! I didn’t find the time to play for nos, but for sure I will !

Yes. They made a friendlier version to sell on mainstream shops. It as a “modern” interface, a tutorial. I found the tome to try it for a short jour tonight and it is suite good ! I Nevers manage to stick to the “old Scholl” full keyboard no help version.

The tutorial seems like a great addition too. I also gave up facing the absurd starting difficulty !

Pokemon scarlet. I can’t tell what glitches are from the emulator and which are just the game being a buggy piece of shit, but I caught a pokemon named flamigo that was just a normal flamingo so ig I’m having fun regardless

I finally got around to playing Hades. I like the presentation and story, but I kinda wish they had more levels and distinct bosses.

I recently finished the Great Ace Attorney after playing on and off for a year. Overall I enjoyed it minus the anti-communist fluff towards the beginning

Its fun, there are far more character interactions, and the story is far more subject to change. The battle is the same, but you have to keep track of your guys more to make sure they dont die for the story to continue. Well, some can die and the story can still continue, but it’ll be weird to leave them. I highly rate it.

Shoutout to Dyson Sphere Program. It’s made by a team of 6 Chinese devs, and it’s really good. It’s a factory building game, similar to Factorio.
