I think this might be the f-droid version

F-Droid apps are always preferable, as many FOSS on Google Play are modified to match Google’s ‘privacy’ policy. In the same way that for example Blokada on Google Play is a ‘decaffeinated’ (Slim) version of the version on the official website or that of F-Droid. The only lack is, that apps out of Google Play or from F-Droid aren’t updated automatically.
Buut, Android 12 will give the option for custom app stores! 🥳
Well, but not the older versions, out there also those which don’t have the last model of smartphones with Android 12. Mine has more than 5 years and I will using it while it works, before to buy a new one.
It’ll take at least one year in order to see some cheap android phones with this latest version…
I think that in view of the environment that has already been damaged enough, it is somewhat hypocritical to change the cell phone when the old one continues to work well and does its service.
Google doing that? how
They don’t do it but the developer if he want his app in the Play Store. Google Play Store don’t admit certain privacy functions in the Play Store. Because of this only the homepage of the product or F-Droid offer it as is.
If you know how to flash ROMs, you can use the same process to flash Fdroid-privledged. Lets it auto-update & just generally work better.
Thanks for that link!
I’ve been using it for a few months, and I only wish it had Doppler radar.
The screenshots look beautiful!
I personally use the app (widget) of the state meteorology agency, which is also OpenSource, open data, the most complete and very well designed (AEMET in Spain). These are the ones that provide the meteorological data used by all other apps and media (press, TV, etc.)
