Mostly to pay for stuff like VPN and email. Sometimes donations and CCS proposals. Kinda sucks that no physical facilities accept it where I live :/

Same here, just stuff like VPN, VPS host, etc. As the US dollar declines tho, you’ll probably see a lot more places accepting it.

        As the US dollar declines

That would definitely be an interesting thing to observe over the near future. It’s an interesting and peculiar time that we live in…

        Which email

        Protonmail

        what’s a ccs proposal

CCS stands for Community Croudfunding System. Basically people interested in Monero can submit their proposals to https://ccs.getmonero.org, where they elaborate on what they want to do/how they are going to do it/the time frame and the funding required, then members of the Monero community will donate to help them reach the required funding goal

Mostly I exchange crypto to fiat currency and spend it on physical goods. In crypto I make donations to FLOSS projects and pay for digital services like VPN-providers.

In addition, I often make bad trade decision between different cryptos, sometimes my choice of cryptocurrency is not based on possible profit but on technological ethical preferences and curiosity. It can be considered as spends too. In other words I spend crypto on crypto. Someone says it’s useless application of cryptocurrencies but I’m interested in a whole crypto and blockchain ecosystem. It’s a driver of many tech innovations even they is not very useful right now.

Have you considered using e-commerce platforms like openbazaar to buy physical goods with crypto

I have started to use OpenBazaar. You can get a 5 pack of socks for $4. Also computer cables. Every purchase has been successful.

You are right! and as it turns out I had already donated in the past, I will do it again happily.

I have an MCO card, but I actually try not to use it, I always spend whatever fiat I still have first, in accordance with Thier’s Law. :)
