Someone mentioned that they might have found a nazbol sub or something but its so fucking weird that this person only mentioned r/genzedong. If they found all this nonsense somewhere else they would have probably cited it along with our sub, but they didn’t.
Also the trigger warning about suicide(?) coupled with the blatant lies make this feels like a low effort post to gain internet points by saying “Tankies bad”. Either this or it’s straight up only diffamation

I especially loved all the fragile white dickheads who when asked by a BAME comrade to check their whiteness relating to a post about racism that got down voted, they all went full mask off crying “calling white people crackers is the same thing as saying the gamer word!!” and other infantile bs.
Conversely one thing I noticed initially when I first jointed gzd back in the day was the zero tolerance policy they had on any form of bigotry which contrasted the fragile white bs and western chauvinism of the anarchist sub.
I remember nazbols getting banned immediately and despite a general consensus against organised religion, the discourse regarding personal beliefs/religion was very civil if not supportive with perspective.
It was the safest place on reddit to be myself as even in the main lgbt subs there had undercurrents of biphobia and gaytekeeping amongst other things. Granted it wasn’t exactly systemic but I found it ironic a commie shitposting sub was more welcoming and supportive than reddits main lgbt subs.

Big reason I left the anarchists/demsoc and went to the ML side of Reddit was for its abrasiveness and fun. Reading this post reminded me that. One of the things that made r/genzedong so much fun was the sheer amount of reverse circlejerking, and knowing that the rest of reddit was seething at our existence. So there was a real tendency to dogpile on anything that average redditors tend to go ga-ga over – Japan, for instance. It didn’t go overboard too many times, and the mods usually caught it when it did. But I can see how some weeb-brained liberal might have interpreted it as racism.
With Japan he have a point unfortunately, it was routinely going overboard, contrary to things like “gamercide” which was indeed like you say i always had the feel this one is much more serious. Though truly wicked shit like “nuke them more” was usually modhammered.
Porn issue is serious and always well argumented, it is obvious the guy from OP is just a lib that just skimmed ovr few comments.

I’m not really an expert on the issue, the porn industry is incredibly exploitative plus it’s basically rape in most cases. r/GenZedong had many threads about it and in many of them someone did write about it.
Now that i think of it, r/GenZedong had many, MANY threads about porn and sex, and they were usually among the most active. Damn they are horny as hell.
Now that I think back on it, you’re right, there were a lot of over-the-top comments regarding Japan, and sort of a general attitude that every Japanese person is a fascist until proven otherwise. I seem to remember one thread in particular (the mods shut it down, thankfully) where people were referring to the atomic bombings of Japan as “trash taking out the trash.”

Also most gamer communities are incredibly misogynist and toxic, and full of some awful people. Watch the “what its like to game as a woman” series to see what an average gamer is like.
And yes you’re also right that certain game franchises like call of duty receive more US military funding than movies.
Besides those legit criticisms, there’s nothing wrong with gaming, its a legitimate art form, and tons of great games are out there. If that’s what floats your boat, enjoy. I personally don’t have time to play them, too busy with organizing, working, and reading.
