The US currently, but if I stay too much longer I’ll probably die from lack of health care. About half of my friends do GoFundMe healthcare anytime they or their kids get sick.

That’s rough to hear. American healthcare was such a shock when I’ve learned about it back in my teens - going to the hospital never felt like a financial burden back in my little european country.

Reading stories about people going bankrupt over small accident or cancer is just mind blowing.

A lot of the current democratic nominees seem to really stress this issue and from outsider’s point of view it’s a really interesting issue to observe. Best of luck to you guys though! I would love to take a peak to alternative universe where USA has universal healthcare.

Most people don’t have insurance, but even with insurance, you still go bankrupt or die.

I’m from Lithuania but I’ve been staying in Thailand for almost 2 years now and it’s has been great over here!

The food is just delicious and it’s really easy to be vegetarian here because there’s a combination of expat vegetaria and local buddhist cultures - some budhists eat “je” diet which supposedly get you closer to nirvana, and this diet doesn’t allow any meat with the exception of clams.

The language is a tough cookie to crack though. I’ve been casually studying it for over a year now and I can’t holding basic conversation just yet.

For more on my opinons you can check out my blog 1 Year in Chiang Mai, Thailand

If I do get bored of Thailand my next stop is either Vietnam, Taiwan or Japan.

It’s snowing pretty hard, which you probably wouldn’t expect to be a problem for Canada, but I live in Vancouver where no one was prepared for it so everything is being thrown into chaos.
