I’m beyond excited for Transformers: Reactivate. I follow a Youtuber who had been leaking information on the Transformers game before it was initially announced.
I’m more of a Mortal Kombat fan, but Street Fighter 6 definitely excites me.

Game awards are dogshit. Too few games compete for each category. And it’s always the same 3rd person action adventure with rpg elements that win. They need a bigger playing field and more representation in what wins. There are also issues with how genuine it feels, sometimes something has been out for years and still goes up for a category somehow. Or this year, with God of War coming out only days before the preliminary voting but somehow people are supposed to already know it’s good enough despite it being longer to complete than the period between release and voting. But dorito pope is a good meme, and sometimes a French guy swears, so. Shrug.
And BTW I have barely touched games this year. So I’ve no horse in the race as far as what should or shouldn’t win in particular. It’s just the award shows format as a whole that I think is flawed.

I’m just happy that my man Miyasaki got his director and Goty award. And said that more good games are coming 👀. Overall, this is just lobbying for video games and a popular thermometer, but some good trailers and meme material here and there, even if we didn’t get silksong or stalker trailers. Oh, and the ramdon nazi kid at the end, it’s just America at its finest.
