According to the 1987 World Factbook, Soviets had a higher caloric consumption on average than Americans. Also, America has a higher poverty rate than China. Not even per capita, TOTAL. THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE LIVING UNDER THE POVERTY LINE IN A “FIRST WORLD COUNTRY” than there are in a country that spent centuries being a superexploited backwater shithole, lost literal hundreds of millions in wars since the 1800s, had all their gold reserves stolen by Chiang Kaishek and was blockaded and sanctioned by the US for decades in the hopes that everyone would starve, and has 4x the population. Capitalist efficiency, amirite?

There are libertarians who think anything short of Gilded Age America or Pinochet’s Chile is socialism. I once encountered one on reddit who called the fucking British Empire, literally the birthplace of capitalism and the foremost capitalist power of its time, “socialist”

For capitalism to succeed, you must binge without working and sitting your ass on couch everyday, consistently, and watch Netflix everyday. When you are bored of Netflix, turn to Instagram. Sleep in between to make sure you are zombie enough to consoom and lump on fat, and you will grow some tyres. Maybe your chest will show 0.01% improvement. Capitalism might just succeed!!!
