Scrolling through twitter feeds and every time something about the war comes up I keep see these accounts with similar profile pictures: meme dog wearing army clothing. It’s the same dog but different clothes. All these accounts had the same hyper pro-Ukraine tweets and spreading the dehumanization of Russians.

There is a lot of blatant and explicit depravity being posted about this war and people are following it enthusiastically. It looks like more 4chan shit but “normal” people are getting in on it. Fascism does grow slowly and now those who thought they’d never fall for something so insidious are playing right into their hands.

Do people not remember that one of the tactics fascists use is scapegoating and justifying the violence against certain people. There’s also the supremacy and glorifying of the military. How many posts about have we seen about Zelensky supposedly on the front lines and people paying to have their names on bombs thrown at Russians. Now I’m seeing more and more people not only hating Putin (which, okay, I’m not fond of him either) but demonizing the Russian population as a whole.

I do wonder what the moderates and libs will say if shit starts to really hit the fan. “How could this happen? We had no idea! I can’t believe it’s happening again!”

You’d think more would’ve learned. I’m really hoping it doesn’t get to that point; third times a charm, I guess…

Honestly not surprised considering all the tweets I’ve seen from it’s members. At first I thought it was a typo or a meme in which the F stood for fascism.

RT is usually pretty bad, but that will be used as a way to deflect the fact that the founder still decided to post all of that nazi stuff (because he is a nazi).

Can’t believe I forgot to mention the controlled media. The fact that Twitter labels Chinese and Russian accounts with a warning and “state affiliated media” is that not making it obvious??? All is pro-Ukraine and anything bringing actual facts and nuance are shut down immediately.

I’m not sure if it still does, but for a time Twitter flagged all links with a .cn domain as “Chinese state affiliated” or similar. There’s no subtlety to the propaganda anymore, and yet hardly anyone bats an eye.

I’ve seen people leaving links to articles that were “pro-Russian” and there being an orange warning lol. Do people not realize how manufactured social media is?

Bloodthirsty warmongering aside, those NAFO profile pics are so ugly. They could be posting based takes and I’d still want to kill it with fire.

Yeah I have a feeling these Shiba’s will stick around for awhile since they came out at a very convenient time. Pepe weirdos became prominent at a time where people were able to figure out what the frog profile pics were up to.

You can tell NAFO is a fed thing because of how much TOS breaking behavior they get up too with Twitter doing absolutely nothing about it.

Twitter always had it’s issues, but recently it’s taken the exact same path as Reddit - virtually unusable to anyone who doesn’t uncritically support Western-led media narratives.

They’re a group of fascist weirdos that came around to support Ukraine through memes; making this war look cute and funny. NAFO stands for North Atlantic Fellas Organization, in solidarity of NATO.

As far as I know, this is an independent “movement” separate from NATO that is pushing fascist ideas into the general public to further escalate violence. They’re adamant on spreading propaganda that a peace talk will not work and the only solution is murder; genocide when they talk of Russians in general. They’re probably one of the causes of pacifist libs turning into bloodthirsty monsters. It’s a bunch of meme bros salivating over a war they will never fight in.

They were founded by an actual Nazi and are now being materially funded by Ukrainian military organizations.

Their founder is a literal nazi gamer from Poland.

Not saying that Ukraine has a nazi issue, just saying that all Nazis believe Ukraine is a great country.

It is but cross symbols like that are very common in militaries. They’ve been around for a long time but obviously became a Nazi symbol when used on soldiers, but only the specific cross which has a swastika engraved.

      Basic Info About the Shape

It’s a Wikipedia link but it’s honestly just simple info on where it’s been used. Take it with a grain of salt, of course, but it has been around before WWII. I’m not trying to defend them just wanna point out it is a common symbol and may not be deliberate. Either way they’re still fascists!

Yes but just like we decided to stop using the swastike after that whole Nazi thing, it would be great if we could make a second, really good decision with all those unnecessary symbols.

There’s no acronym or joke I can make that is more cringe than the name they chose.

Edit: oh ffs they’ve stolen the Shiba meme template as well?! Why do fascists ruin everything 😤

It’s to make them seem cute and funny to coverup the Nazi shit. It’s similar to what happened to Pepe the frog, take something innocent that everyone likes and turn it fash.

I genuinely feel sorry for the Pepe creator. He tried multiple times to have the image copyrighted so Trump/white supremacist scum couldn’t repurpose it to no avail.
