It probably doesn’t help. There is also never any accountability. They also forbid birth control, none of it makes sense.

Being celibate doesn’t make you more likely to rape. That sort of implies that it’s an issue of lack of control, like they’re going “poor kid, I wish I didn’t have to rape him but I’m just sooo horny I can’t help myself 🤤” and that’s not it. They can control themselves, they just choose not to because they’re terrible, evil people.

I just learned recently that the Vatican is basically an independent country ran as an absolute monarchy, I’m sure they’d love to expand it lol. Not to mention their banking system is shady as fuck with a ton of money laundering to the tune of tens of millions. Not exactly a beacon of anti-capitalism.

By the government system, it’s one of the six remaining absolute monarchies in the world. And the only one which is basically seat of international crime organization.

I just want him [REDACTED] and strongly oppose this whitewashing of his image.

Wouldn’t you feel disgusted if this was the British queen? Wouldn’t you see the real reason behind the anticapitalism?

Good point. We actually want the worst pope possible, since he don’t have that much power, and the loss of influence and ultimate dissoultion of church would be beneficial to working class.

Yeah that’s fair, I’ve seen before how sometimes anti-capitalism still can serve capitalism at the end of the day.

Not so straight up he just went about greed and cult of mammon, it will be probably interpreted as “capitalism good, but greed bad” standard lib talk.

Yes. This is what counts for official stance of church for workers and labour. As you can see that’s the empty words of performative radicalism defanged from anything truly revolutionary and in fact being counterrevolutionary.

Not to metion it was written by John Paul 2, man who was CIA asset, pedophile ringleader, had new counterreformation round coming (but he got senile in the process so that did not get far and everyone ignored it), and his rule revealed that church is basically just an criminal organization. He had huge role in fighting and ultimately destroying socialism in every catholic country, especially Poland. He’s right up there with Raegan and Thatcher as the (un)holy spirit of that particular devil trinity.

So, in short, the practical stance of church on labour is still the same as always: “ora et labora”
