Yes, it seems to be the only way that fediverse evolves… organically, haphazardly maybe. The screenshots look like its essentially facebook groups, which would be nice because im in a lot of facebook meme groups and havent seen any federated alternatives with a UX that i feel i could really pitch to somone deep into instagram / fb / whatsapp land.

Hopefully this is implemented like https://github.com/bookwyrm-social/bookwyrm/issues/1548 using the Group Actor type of AP, in order to be compatibile, otherwise there’s little point for it.
