I got a new android phone today, so I can finally check this out.
UI is great. Everything looks really impressive so far.
I’m also making this post just to see how posting looked. I was going to complain about the lack of a preview button, but I see the toggle icon for it now. It’s clever!
the only problem I have with it is that it doesn’t auto scroll to the top when you tap the home button
Lemmur is really cool, I’m using right now lol. It can be (and I hope it will be) improved by a lot. But the fact that it exists is just cool
I’ve used it for some time too, the biggest downsides are imo the lack of text-formating buttons and it’s incredibly high battery usage. (Using lemmy in Firefox takes less energy, wtf)
Strange… I have absolutely no problem with the battery usage…
I agree that text-formatting should be added for ease of access, but I do recommend learning the CommonMark syntax, which is used here on Lemmy but also many other platforms and softwares.

Some of the characters aren’t that easy to use on non-us or cellphone keyboards (especially backticks)
That is a fair point.
I have the same problem :S
it’s incredibly high battery usage.
Could you elaborate? How did you observe that? I did not notice any such problems myself
Using it drains my battery even faster than firefox, which after organic maps is the most work-intensive app I use. I always thought it was because flutter sucks (it certainly does on desktop) but maybe it’s just my setup?
TIL there’s a Lemmy client on F-Droid. I just went into the options of my mobile browser and converted the website into an app.
excellent app.
my only request is to be able to browse through the massive list of all the communities. although… it’s not a very important feature. the app is fantastic as it is. exceeds all my expectations. That massive list is a total disaster that I coded up because it was the laziest and fastest way to get it done. We 100% plan to get rid of it.
