I got a new android phone today, so I can finally check this out.
UI is great. Everything looks really impressive so far.

I’m also making this post just to see how posting looked. I was going to complain about the lack of a preview button, but I see the toggle icon for it now. It’s clever!

    I’ve used it for some time too, the biggest downsides are imo the lack of text-formating buttons and it’s incredibly high battery usage. (Using lemmy in Firefox takes less energy, wtf)

      I agree that text-formatting should be added for ease of access, but I do recommend learning the CommonMark syntax, which is used here on Lemmy but also many other platforms and softwares.

        Some of the characters aren’t that easy to use on non-us or cellphone keyboards (especially backticks)

      Could you elaborate? How did you observe that? I did not notice any such problems myself

        Using it drains my battery even faster than firefox, which after organic maps is the most work-intensive app I use. I always thought it was because flutter sucks (it certainly does on desktop) but maybe it’s just my setup?
