      Me too. But they are very similar. What’s your reason to use paru?

      I mainly just prefer it because it’s written in Rust, while yay is Go.

      One nice feature is you can update all packages and AUR packages with one command “yay -Syu”

        Or just yay (it’s shorthand for yay -Syu)

          Pacman does not update or install AUR packages. That’s probably the main difference between pacman and yay (or similar AUR helper)

    yay is great and the name is fun - It’s probably the reason for its popularity
