I may hate Joe, but I love that he’s making the Limeys mad.

Happiness comes from goals, love, and expression. I strive to do as much of all three as possible.

1·3 years agoBecause there are more people in the center & north of the state. And those areas are bleeding heart conservative.

United States | News & Politics•Florida man dies from brain-eating amoeba, possibly after rinsing nose with tap water, health officials say
2·3 years agoCharlotte County water has had problems for a while. Most of the coastal areas are fine, but the more inland you go, the more polluted the water supply gets. The Northern areas of North Port are especially bad.

United States | News & Politics•Florida bill would make bloggers who write about governor register with state
2·3 years agoAs a Floridian, it’s hard to put into words how much of a disaster Ron Desantis is. Most people here in the south of the state bar some snowbird cities hate the guy, and he’s gotten away with far too many blatantly unconstitutional laws.

United States | News & Politics•Winter storm wreaks havoc on U.S. travel, cuts power to more than 1 million homes, businesses
5·3 years agoAgreed. Siberian winds have been hitting us really hard lately. 30-50 years ago in SouthWest FL, it would stay at a steady 50-65 degrees during the winter. Now, we’re getting 65-80 during half of the Winter, and 35-50 the rest of the time. It really gets on my nerves when people in temperate climates talk about climate change as if it’s this faraway thing that won’t affect us for a long time, when those of us near the equator are already feeling the effects.

4·3 years agoEspecially crazy down here in Florida. The temperature jumped from mid 70’s to low 40’s just last week. Where I live, there’s plenty of people without heat in their homes that are trying everything to stay warm. It’s a sad predicament.

World News•Latin America’s plan to challenge US dollar with new currency and ‘regional financial architecture’
3·3 years agoI should’ve worded it better. I’m trying to imply that America’s going to do what they always do and instate authoritarian dictators anywhere that tries to do anything that goes against their interests.
I fucking love Toki Pona. I’m not fluent yet, but I’ve already had so many great conversations online with people all around the world, that don’t speak English or Spanish, just using Toki Pona. Really think it should be taught in schools.

Nice. I currently don’t use it, but I oughta start. It seems pretty great.

I’ve read everything he’s ever written. A real genius, who was able to look beyond many of our modern, pointless issues and understand the real long term threat of modernization.
RIP to a real one.
