    Will this become the next trade war? It’s about time countries become digitally souvereign. The monopolies from US-american companies are way too dangerous for global freedom. Big Tech needs to be taxed. The US should tax them more, too.

    Either GAFA agrees to store user-data in the countries in where they’re gathered or they’re banned from operating those countries, regardless of the fact that a blanket ban is an attack on “freedom of expression”

    China’s decision to develop its own tech sector instead of relying on US companies is really paying in spade here. Most of the world allowed US tech companies to operate mostly unregulated and this precluded local tech sectors from developing. Now US is flexing their tech dominance over the countries that made these short sighted decisions.
