Yes, the Soviets kept fighting, even though they were losing, but it wasn’t un-winnable. Even if it were comparable in the possibility of winning, they are fighting for much different things. The USSR fought to stop genocide and colonialism while defending socialism, Ukraine is just doing it because they wanna keep killing Donbas children, and they US wants to try a futile attempt to weaken Russia and eventually colonize them. What use would it be to keep sending people to die even when losing is certain, and all the enemy wants is for them to be a little less hostile? Also, I was kinda confused when they seemed pro-soviets against the Nazis before saying “stalin, ebilest man ever!”

Ah, but that’s not the narrative that is dominant in MSM, is it? The narrative is “putler and his orcs want to genocide all Ukrainians and eat their babies because he’s evil and hates freedom”
wtf you talking about “loss of hope” bruh. The Soviets right after WW2 were probably the most hopeful a people has ever been.
edit: or do you mean the loss of hope we currently experience from living in a post-covid recession where jobs do not keep up with inflation, unemployment is soaring, and rent has been out of proportion for the past 20 years or more? that kind of “hope”?
What was the story again of the guy being talked out of suicide with the argument that he’d miss the next five-year-plan? Even during the phase of rapid industrialization, the soviet people were extremely hopeful.

Don’t laugh! After Stalin ate all the grain in Ukraine with his comically oversized spoon, Ukrainians are triggered by spoons. The generational trauma is so bad that to this day they eat their soup with forks.
Every bowl of borscht is mixed with tears.
How does this have 78K views isn’t it a Quora post? Do that many people really go to Quora for political discussions?? 😵
I do, sometimes, since my school computer has most social media blocked, but not quora (not the best one to keep, though)
Why are you spending your precious school time on Quora instead of coolmathgames, tetr.io, and pokemon showdown? Kids these days smh my head
I play plenty cool math games, but I’ve never heard of the other two, I’ll have to check them out later.
You don’t need to register an account to play either of them & they’re both multiplayer so I highly recommend. For showdown, choose random battle formats in order to avoid building teams (very time consuming)
Update: sadly, both have been blocked, (there is a single ripoff of tetrio with bad controls available)
Noooo! But there is still hope depending on how savvy the IT person at your school is. You could try using a URL shortener to go to the sites or using someone’s mobile hotspot to circumvent the school’s WiFi entirely. There are free VPN websites that you can use too, but you’ll probably be sent to school juvy if you’re ever caught using those.
Url shortener doesn’t seem to help, vpn doesn’t seem worth it, though.
