What country whose government would not be considered socialist or communist, but many of its citizens have strong support for socialism or communism?
Kerala in India has CPI Marxist in power though they are more socdem than socialist.
CPI(M) is kinda complicated. They only govern Kerala which is a state. However, Indian central government is fascist. Also, Kerala has multiple political parties ranging from ideologically far left to far right. Kerala state government flips between CPI(M) which is leftist and Congress which is liberal. Right wing BJP has never managed to get any power in Kerala from what I know.
Yes. I don’t dislike them or anything because them being socdem and forming questionable alliances is more a result of the communist movement of India being disjointed and weak. But CPI(M) is still worth mentioning because they have achieved things like almost 100% literacy rate, which is in stark contrast to the rest of the country.
Definitely Angola and Nepal.
Almost imperialized country. The people here speak about communism and socialism and they conflate it to marxism. Listen how ksynwa considers CPI a social democrat party, without even knowing what they are talking about.
