    Dessalines and the other people who have worked on this have done a great job. I think once federation comes this project will become viral!

    but maybe would be better to get more active users, since most of the content is still generated by a handful of people …

      We need to promote Lemmy more, especially in the libre/privacy/decentralization communities where there is likely a higher concentration of people that will want to support this project. Most of our perspective users don’t even know we exist.

      Hehe true, active users are more important. Right now we have maybe 6 active, and 30 or so lurking.

        yep, not great :/ although i have no idea as to what is an average growth speed for such projects… do you happen to have this sort of data for any similar projects?

          I don’t :man shrugging: . No matter what the thing is tho, whether it grows really quickly, or slowly people will say its dead in the water if it doesn’t match facebook’s size instantly.

            Lol. Almost nothing matches the size of facebook. But almost nothing matches the abusive ethics of facebook either.

            It always depends on what one puts their focus.
