Not yet because the communities are still tiny. But Lemmy is a great idea and could replace Reddit anytime soon.
Because it’s part of the fediverse and free you can be sure that you won’t pay with your data for it. Also if a community is too large for you, then just start your own server or join another one. This brings some diversification back and makes the Internet a much more interesting place. That goes directly against core principles of any big company in the platform sector and I like it :)
Also at the moment there is much less noise here than on Reddit and the website is blazingly fast!

Federation of social media is something I’ve only just gotten into but it is really cool to see “free as in freedom” for social media.
