I have not even thought about the war in weeks, and randomly catch myself remembering that it’s actually still ongoing.

  • It is going so bad for them that not even the western propaganda can spin it. Also they probably prepare to abandon Ukraine so they are preparing the grounds. Remember, the western media is not decentralised cloud as they would want you to believe, it’s an cartel with million mouths but one brain.

Internal differences? USA not to mention NATO was not entirely a monolith even in their best times and now when entire thing is faltering there’s bound to be some stretched seams. Brits are especially easy to explain that they will try to push things because their country is crumbling right now and they grasp the “external threat” to divert people’s attention from how much their last few governments failed.

Exactly. This happens every time, like clockwork. People mad at Clinton for raping an intern? Hey, look at what the evil Serbs are doing! Snowden’s revelations causing massive anger and potential unrest? Well, Evil Dictator Assad is using chlorine gas on his own people! US in economic freefall? Here, look at Ukraine…

Long after the fact, people will freely admit they were played. But yet they keep falling for the same trick, time after time after time.

I keep telling people here that when the USA collapses, they had better hope for enemies as forgiving as Russia.

Weird that, according to this thread, for some reason the war is not talked about anymore. But it is in Belgium and The Netherlands. And big things happened this week, with nuke talks and the grain deal collapsing. What are we over here doing differently?

I don’t know about other places, but it’s still talked about in the US, too. The sensationalism has largely worn off, though, so it’s not being given the same urgency anymore.

Is it going badly for them? I really don’t know what to make of this conflict. I know Western propaganda is bullshit, but it seems utterly baffling to me that Russia is having so many problems domestically concerning the war.

It’s a war, there’s bound to be some fuckups. Look at lis like that:

        1. Russia send way to little soldiers to this war.
        2. They aren’t fighting just Ukraine, they are fighting Ukraine plus military production and intelligence of entire fucking NATO.
        3. Time currently works for the Russia, so i wouldn’t be surprised if they were dragging this on purposefully. Europe bleeds with sanctions, seams are showing in the NATO and Russian economy is actually strenghtening with shedding the vestiges of yeltsinism and decoupling from the west.
        4. They are really delicate with this war. Only after Ukraine perpetrated multiple terrorist attacks Russia started to attack their infrastructure and it’s still nowhere comparable to the absolute destruction of USA shock & awe docrine.

I figured as much, thanks. Naturally I don’t take what the Western media says as gospel, but the reports of contentions amongst Russian officials themselves was what surprised me.
