The war crimes of Zelensky: trying to make a list
- Armed civilians without giving them a uniform. [Breach of Geneva Conventions]( - Ukrainian special forces command said Russian artillerymen will no longer be taken prisoner and will "all be killed for being complicit in criminal orders". Killing surrendering soldiers is a [war crime]( [Collective punishment]( is also one. Edit: they have since taken that statement back. I have not. - Did not activate air raid sirens to [warn civilian populations]( of artillery and air strikes. People have already died because of this; Russia gave warnings as per protocol which Ukraine did not relay in time. - As per the discovery of biological labs near the border with Russia, there is a very serious possibility Zelensky is guilty of [producing biological weapons](,force%20on%208%20February%201928.). The labs have been confirmed by the US gov, but no proof yet that they were meant for biological warfare. - Forcing battles to happen in civilian zones, thus exposing them to danger and [preventing their protection]( - Possibility of using [child soldiers](, as the Ukrainian army is now training children to use AKs, during wartime. - Ukrainian forces were (accidentally) caught using Red Cross vans to transport soldiers and materiel. The symbol of the cross itself can only be used by the organisation and is protected under the Geneva Conventions; it can [only be used by medical units]( who must then be treated like civilians. Feel free to contribute. (the list above only reflects crimes Zelensky himself can be responsible for, to the best of our knowledge based on information that comes out of Ukraine. This list is also not legal advice, as only a trial will be able to determine which crimes have been committed and who is responsible for them).

$824B budget is puffery.
cross-posted from: >Took some time today to flip through the 2024 Pentagon budget proposal, the unprecedented $842B budget. > >1) Production isn't being dramatically increased >2) Increased $ topline comes from inflation and switch to more advanced variants > >Something basic, like the JLTV will not only cost more for fewer vehicles (3108) but will likely miss production goals in 2023 (3311 out of 3721 projected). > >Same story for the AMPV, which instead of the 72 for $380m will only see 43 deliveries this year. 2024 has 91 projected. > >Certain systems like the M1 Abrams and the PIM sp-arty production will be increased but seem to be capped out at a production capacity limit. Note the increasing costs over last year's projections. 2024 budget reduces order numbers substantially, though additional upgrades slated > >As for defensive systems, no new Patriots complexes, but research on the next iteration of the system has been funded with a dramatically larger R&D budget. As for interceptors, fewer will be built at a higher overall bill. Navy, SM-3 and SM-6 will be procured in tiny numbers. > >JASSM unit numbers steady but per unit cost expected to skyrocket as production shifts fully to ER variant. LRASM numbers increased. Could also include facility upgrades. Meanwhile modernization of tomahawks crawls. Naval strike missile, small numbers at greater cost. Pictures are linked in the twitter thread. TL:DR is that the US MIC is not actually increasing production throughput despite all the proclamations being put out by the informal state media but is rather adjusting to inflation.

Moscow, Mar 15 (Prensa Latina) Russian forces today took control of the Zaliznyanskoye settlement and are expanding the encirclement of Artiomovsk in the Donetsk People's Republic, the head of the Wagner military company, Evgueni Prigozhin, said. ‘Wagner assault detachments are expanding the encirclement of Artiomovsk (Bakhmut for Ukrainians), after they liberated the small locality of Zaliznianskoye on Wednesday,’ Prigozhin reported on his Telegram channel. Artiomovsk is located in the part of the Donetsk People’s Republic controlled by Kiev and is an important transport center for supplying Ukrainian troops in Donbas. Over this important communications junction fierce battles have been raging since the summer of last year. On March 11, Prigozhin reported that Russian forces were 1.2 km from the administrative center of Artiomovsk, dominating all the surrounding heights. In the city there are, according to intelligence estimates, between 10,000 and 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers, who are in danger of being encircled by Russian units.

The referendum question was: "Are you for or against the Approval Act of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine?" The ruling parties were in favor of the approval act. The No vote won in the end with 61%, but with an attendance of 32%. After the referendum the following points were added to the act. - No establishment of EU candidate status to Ukraine through this agreement - No guarantees of military aid or security guarantees to Ukraine - No freedom of Ukrainians to reside or work in the EU - No increases of bilateral financial support to Ukraine based on the agreement - The goal to work towards reduction of corruption in Ukraine, and (as a last resort) to suspend the Agreement if not enough progress is made. Seems they didn't follow through

>[President Joe Biden, said at a press briefing last year: “If Russia invades [Ukraine] . . . there will be no longer a Nord Stream 2. We will bring an end to it.” When asked by a reporter how he would do that, Biden said: “I promise you; we will be able to do that.”](

At least 16 people suffered from the Ukrainian militants in Donetsk on February 23 ▪️Around 11:15 a.m., a series of explosions rocked the center of Donetsk. Enemy shells from the American HIMARS hit the residential area of the Voroshilovsky district. The building of the music academy and an apartment building were damaged. ▪️At the same time, rockets hit the Budennovsky and Proletarsky districts with Smerch MLRS rocket, as a result of which a woman died. ▪️In addition, cluster charges damaged a kindergarten building and about a dozen private residential buildings in the Budyonnovsky district. ▪️At about 11:30 a.m., the Petrovsky district was hit. The enemy fired six shells of 155 mm caliber (NATO standard). A little earlier, the area was shelled from MLRS - about 20 shells. While on duty, as a result of repeated shelling in Petrovsky district, **three ambulance workers were killed and a female paramedic was injured. She died in hospital.** Also, 10 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who were eliminating the consequences of artillery strikes, were injured of varying severity. ❗️By this time, it is known that since the beginning of the current day, the army of Ukraine has fired 110 shells on the Republic, about 80 on Donetsk. The enemy used rocket and cannon artillery, including Western-made ones. Source [DPR MFA ]( ![]( ![]( Civilian house, a woman was killed here. ![]( Music school. >NATO expanded from 19 members in 1999 to 30 in 2022, including countries that were part of the Soviet Union and most of the countries that had been allied with the Soviet Union before 1991. NATO held provocative military exercises that moved ever closer to the Russian borders, while the U.S. started deploying potential first-strike nuclear weapons in Europe. > >Faced with what was arguably an existential threat, the Moscow government opened its military intervention in Ukraine a year ago. Washington immediately began waging a proxy war against Russia, arming Ukraine and using its population as cannon fodder, pressuring its NATO allies to spend more money on weapons and to arm Kiev’s troops with weapons available in the allies’ stockpiles. > >Last March, the U.S. sabotaged tentative moves toward Ukrainian-Russian negotiations, while demanding Europe break its mutually beneficial trade ties with Russia. > >U.S. political and military leaders have said openly that their goal was to extend the war to weaken Russia. Imperialist politicians and media demonized Russian President Vladimir Putin, just as they did to Iraq’s Saddam Hussein, Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi and Yugoslavia’s Slobodan Milosevic — before invading and destroying their countries. > >As renowned journalist Seymour Hersh recently revealed, U.S. forces even carried out an act of terror by bombing the Russian-owned Nord Stream pipelines in the Baltic Sea. ( This act prevented German leaders — had any been considering the possibility — from reestablishing Germany’s trade with Russia for its gas and oil. (

The spokesman announced that during a series of successful offensives the locality was completely liberated and the enemy lost 115 troops during the fighting. Meanwhile, in the Krasny Liman region the Russian forces of the Central group eliminated up to 100 Ukrainian servicemen, two armored combat vehicles, two D-30 howitzers and a US-made AN/TPQ-37 counterbattery radar, Konashenkov said. In the Kupiansk sector artillery fire and active operations of the units of the Western troops contributed to the defeat of the enemy’s troops and military equipment in Lugansk and Kharkov. The Ukrainian troops lost up to 50 troops, the spokesman said. The Russian Army in Kherson area destroyed Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers, three D-30 howitzers, as well as a towed gun Giatsint of Ukrainian Armed Forces, the high-ranking officer informed. Likewise, they inflicted a defeat on Ukrainian units south of Donetsk and in Zaporozhie province, where the enemy lost 60 soldiers, a tank, two armored vehicles, a D-20 howitzer and two D-30 howitzers on the day, the spokesman announced. Konashenkov also noted that three ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the areas of Malinovka in Zaporozhie and Ugledar and Vodianoye in Donetsk. Meanwhile, Konashenkov added, combat aviation shot down an enemy Su-27 aircraft near Izium in Kharkov, and air defense intercepted a Himars shell, as well as 15 drones in different localities of Lugansk, Donetsk and Zaporozhie.

Biden makes weapons pledge in Kiev
Washington is readying another major military aid package for Kiev that will include more artillery ammunition, more javelin missiles, anti-armor systems and air-surveillance radars, President Joe Biden announced during his trip to Kiev on Monday. The surprise visit comes nearly a year after Moscow launched its military offensive in the neighboring state. Speaking at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Biden said Washington has led a coalition that provided “unprecedented” support for Kiev. “Together, we have committed nearly 700 tanks, thousands of armored vehicles, 1,000 artillery systems, more than two million rounds of artillery ammunition, more than 50 advanced … rocket systems,” Biden said. He added that this newest US military aid package would be worth “another half a billion dollars” and will include “artillery ammunition for howitzers, more javelins, anti-armor systems, air surveillance radars” and more. Washington would later this week unveil new sanctions, he said, targeting “elites and companies that are trying to evade or backfill Russia’s war machine.” Russia sent troops into Ukraine last February, citing the need to protect the people of Donbass and Kiev’s failure to implement the 2014-2015 Minsk peace accords. Washington has since been one of Ukraine’s main backers. According to the Pentagon, the US provided more than $27.4 billion in security assistance to Kiev between February 24, 2022 and January 20, 2023. The Kremlin has repeatedly warned that the flow of foreign arms will not change the course of the conflict and that all equipment would be treated as legitimate targets by Russian forces. Russia has also accused Ukraine of using Western-supplied weapons to attack civilians. Around 5,000 people were killed in Donbass and nearly 9,000 wounded since 2014, Aleksandr Bastrykin, the head of Russia’s Investigative Committee, said on Monday.

According to the organization, NATO transferred 1,170 anti-aircraft defense systems, 440 tanks, 1,150 infantry vehicles, and 655 artillery pieces to the Kiev Government since that date. It specified that the Ukrainian Armed Forces received 9,800 multiple rocket launcher missiles, 609,000 anti-tank shells, and 1,206,000 ammunition of other kinds from the Atlantic bloc. Russian troops destroyed most of the military equipment provided by the West to Ukraine, NATO stressed. Several countries condemned the special military operation that Russia has been carrying out in Ukraine since February 24, 2022, and supported Kiev with arms supplies, donations, humanitarian aid, and sanctions on Moscow. Russia sent protest notes to all nations supplying Kiev with weapons. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned that any shipment to Kiev would become a legitimate target for the Federation’s Armed Forces.

(link is to a German mainstream news site since I couldn't find a lot of people reporting about this in English yet and I want to stick to established pro-NATO sources so there are absolutely no doubts) At a security conference in Munich the Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure said they were asking for more cluster bombs white phosphorus munitions specifically and saying they were fully justified in using them since it was "only against Russian forces"... This is after months of German media pretending that Russia was uniquely evil for supposedly secretly using weapons like this, so you can imagine how hard German news and government officials are trying to cope with Ukrainian ministers just straight up saying that lol Further context: even NATO affiliated sources sometimes reluctantly admit that Ukraine has [has been receiving and using cluster bombs]( and that [their primary use is killing civilians](

A timely article since there has been some confusion around here among some comrades as to what "Wagner" actually is

If that is real, it clearly indicate warcrimes by Ukraine. Ratio of KiA to PoW’s for Russia is over 9 to 1. But for Ukraine it is over 57 to 1. And all that when Ukraine is the side which did the loud and rapid offensives meaning they advanced and Russians withdrawn which would cause more PoW’s be taken by UA. For comparison, in the battle of Okinawa, one of the most brutal and merciless, where the Japanese got active orders to not surrender it was between 7 - 16 to 1. This means UA is not taking/killing prisoners.

[Ukraine using USA’s HIMARS against civilians objects: statistics and cases]( [Ukraine shelled HIMARS at the hospital in LPR. Again. 14 people were killed, patients and medics]( [Ukraine has killed 15 people in LPR in two days using Western weapons]( [Ukraine shelled HIMARS at the hospital in LPR, killed 6 people]( And many more cases...

cross-posted from: > This is also by the same think-tank who claimed that in their wargames the US would be able to win a confrontation with China over Taiwan around 2027 so don't get your hopes up that they would be able to connect what the data says for future prognostications.

Note, this guy is actually far right (you can note as he couldn't stop from mentioning "soviet atrocities") hardcore conservatist catholic, to the right of PiS.

Stonetoss is a Nazi cartoonist for context. Of course he probably doesn't understand that the 'lethal aid' money that the USA is sending Ukraine is actually going to the owners of weapons companies in the USA.
