Yeah, it’s kind of amazing to see that capitalists failed to tear down a lot of these foundations even three decades after the destruction of USSR. One day these ghouls will be overthrown again.
A lot of the socialist policies in Europe are also an indirect result of USSR having existed. An example of an alternative system run by the workers meant that concessions had to be made in order to prevent local uprisings. This was a great read on the subject.
Here in the former USSR, a lot of people say that. They would never live somewhere at terrible as the USA. But the funny part is when you ask them the reason. They say it must be terrible because there’s so many black people, who they often refer to as n******s. Thanks Russia.
Pretty much. The hatred of blacks is pretty extreme and socially transmitted in Russian society. The random comments I hear about them never ends, and also “the Jews” is another favorite topic, along with gays as I mentioned earlier. Russia is not only socially backwards but the Russian state is one of the most corrupt on Earth. People are not happy to live under it, unless they’re totally brainwashed.
