Better than Invidious and instances and also the desktop client FreeTube (YewTube, CloudTube…), which all use the googlevideoAPI, is Piped. Because of this, restricted Videos in YT don’t work in invidious and instances, but do it in Piped, which even blocks the sponsor ads and intros, which can’t do any other front end.
Do you have recommendations of channels on Peertube? The only one I have found on the main page that I know is “The Hated One” (It’s unofficial and I don’t watch it, it just appears on Invidious recommendations). Don’t worry about the topics, as long as it is something cool to watch, I think it would be fine to check.
I tried to swap to piped, but the fact that it doesn’t save video progress was a deal breaker for me. I’m sticking with Freetube until / unless they implement that.

My bad. I saw freetube grabs from invidious sources, so I assumed newpipe did the same.
Its true that we should foremost support peertube, but if we use privacy shells, we still need to finance them.

Wait is that true?

I need to test it again, because when I found out about Piped months ago on HN, most of the videos crashed. But again, it was months ago.
