I’ll use it for fun , learn some foss solutions, and techies advices , blogging , maybe add some gemcasts audio , review textes and movies stuff like this … developped interest in self hosting and I also like the idea of self-hosting my own content away from any potential for advertising, im not a sysadmin , so web is a very agressive place sometimes if you want to run small things. And it’s easy to set up even if you don’t know much + i like Markdown much more than html. Also liked that it’s about content not wasting energy into fancy things…

I tend to use riseup all time , for VPN , mails , file transfer , pads etc… i find that their views are very clearly exposed and like their politics , but should we be concern about the fact that their servers are US based ( heard some args this)? Also id like to have details about how RiseupVPN is working , and if all traffic go throug or just part , for example does it really take in charge P2P /torrent ? ( real question is can i use it to protect from Hadopi ? ) . Also the service is based on donations so dont forget to give what you can so they can continue to offer free pricing vpn to us :)

yeah thats so true , i mentioned r pi cause its what i find my self to have available :) but Olimex is indeed recommended. I confirmed by experience that SD card ( + cheap Sd cards) are very fragile and you should 123 backup everything to be safe

thx :) yeah shitty situation , that’s happening so many times …im not planing to repair , because a broken screen is not harmless to me but the whole thing scares me because of xiaomi and android reputation … but a dumb phone is always good to have :) when $$ will come in i’ll think about buyin the right hardware to take care of my digital life , and before this 'ill get a shitty nonsmartphone and maybe see where i can get with LOS , some said this could work well if i take my time doin it right :)
