Being playing Ultrakill a lot more recently. I keep dying lol. I’ve been playing Beat Saber as well.
-
FPS games, particularly fast ones. I didn’t get any games for January cos I’m broke lol.
Use mods?
I use mods on Beat Saber. It’s pretty much a requirement if you want more than a few hours of playtime, especially for things like custom songs.

Playing botw

What video games have you played recently?
Currently playing
YakuzaLike a Dragon: Ishin! (aka Ishin Kiwami) That game lets you play 4 days early before release if you pre-ordered it.What have you finished recently?
Finished Yakuza Kiwami 2. God that game’s kinda long (when you’re not just beelining through the Main Story anyway).
What have you gotten in terms of games recently for January, if anything?
I only pre-ordered Ishin Kiwami. (I only pre-order games from franchises that are close to my heart
and confident won’t disappoint me)deleted by creator
I’m currently playing Destiny 2. According to wastedondestiny.com, I’ve now played the game for over 2000 hours since I picked the game back up 2 years ago on PS5.
I play practically everyday, and a few times a week or a few times a month, I play together with my long-distance significant other/psuedo-girlfriend.
I keep meaning to get back to Horizon: Forbidden West and do a New Game Plus/Ultra Hard run after I farm for more resources, but haven’t really found the time.
Once in a blue moon, I freeroam and kick the shit out of bad guys by playing Gotham Knights. I platinumed the game and I have Level 60 gear for all 4 of my characters after farming Heroic Assault, and now I just play casually from time to time.
I plan on re-playing the Mass Effect trilogy for like the dozenth-or so time, but my Xbox Series X version of the Legendary Edition hasn’t been played in months.
I’m cautiously excited for Atomic Heart releasing next week. I pre-ordered the digital Premium Edition and I’m hoping it won’t be neoliberal garbage, since the devs seem to have some sympathies for the Soviet Union and they somewhat support Russia’s special military operation against the Ukranazis. But even if the game is capitalist nonsense, it still looks fun to play at least.
Also my collector’s edition of the Lightfall expansion for Destiny 2 shipped out a day ago, and I’m excited for that.
I have the Dark Souls trilogy on my PS5 to eventually play through, but not anytime soon. I barely played Dark Souls 1 on my PS5 for half an hour almost a year ago I think, but haven’t touched it since.
I also bought Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales on PC during Christmas (even though I already platinumed both games on PS5) for the extensive modding community, but downloading mods for the two games is a hassle.

Do they? Is this from their interviews or something?
The official discord channel for the game has alot of Soviet iconography and moderation style, it has people from all over the world, especially Russia and Eastern Europe in it, and one of the devs on Twitter supposedly liked or said something about supporting Russia’s SMO. And the official Twitter account reportedly blocked someone when they said they were a Ukranian “survivor” and asked why they haven’t denounced “Putin’s war on Ukraine”.

But most of it are just Global Northerners, yes?

Yeah, but someone here said the devs also posted “Slava Ukraini”, so…
I’m not dismissing that claim, but I’d like to see hard proof.
I’m not in Discord (ew) and I’m not the one making that claim, so you’ll have to ask that person instead.
Interesting. Soviet iconography is not surprising (given the theme of the game), but doesn’t say much. I’ll keep an eye out though
- Elder Scrolls Online
- i dont know anymore
- Nothing
Gotcha.
Finished chained echoes last month, great game.
Right now i am playing a bit of crosscode and Ogre Tactics reborn. Crosscode is seriously a masterpiece of a game, the amount of detail is insane.

Tell me about it, now I feel proud I’ve followed that game since it’s debut on GameJolt in 2014 lmao.
…though I’ll admit I’ve been burned from playing it after it wiped off my save data a while back. It’s been a few years (pre-covid) since that happened, but the memory of it is still there and kinda hurts lmao. Maybe I’ll pick it up again a decade later.
Or unless someone can pass me a code or save that lets me continue after the Desert Dungeon.
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It’s… not bad so far. I expected way worse because of the controversy surrounding its horrible microtransaction system (buying XP boosts and shit), which granted still exists, but the gameplay itself is pretty engaging. You must really have 0 time to play if you feel you need the XP boosts, because I’ve been leveling up pretty damn fast without them. The RPG elements are a good touch and the game doesn’t feel brainless like some other adventure games, Skyrim etc. where you just zone out and walk towards a map marker. It encourages exploration quite a bit which I appreciate, even requiring you to think critically about some quests.
State of Decay 2 has been allowing me to live out my Walking Dead fantasies like no other game has. It’s a little rough around the edges but I love it.

RPGs. Bioware RPGs in particular. And I demand more >:( I can do isometric ok, but it always feels kind of off to me. I wanna see my character fully realized y’know, just personal taste.

I upgraded to Playstation Extra which gives access to the PS Plus back catalog of monthly games, which is how I’ve been playing AC: Odyssey, as well as Frostpunk.
All of these sound good.
Playing genshin, honkai, and ready or not. Gonna be playing Skyrim on the 18th with the release of the anticipated living Skyrim 4 wabbajack modlist release
The wabbajack!
I stopped playing skyrim when I realized I was spending more time checking what mods where making the game crash (and modding the game into oblivion) than playing it, Wabbajack sounds like a blessing, I may install the game again
Yeah definitely, the modlist authors, like the one for living Skyrim 4, for example, spent years with a group of closed beta testers to iron out mod conflicts and bugs and edited them out in xedit. Only downside is the modlist usually don’t have much leeway in plugin slots left over for you to install your own mods so you will have to esl-ify or merge your own mods (merge mapper on Nexus mods helps a ton in allowing you to pretty much merge anything)
I’ve mostly played Geometry Dash mobile, super smash bros, and Wii sports
Which smash
The Wii U one
I just finished Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and and Spider-Man 2018’s main story (both easily crack my top 50 at least maybe 20). Started a new playthrough of the OuterWorlds to give the DLC a runback and I’m always servin heatah fajitas on Pokémon Showdown
Oh noice

Been playing a few hours now, and I’d have to say I am enjoying it!
What video games have you played recently?
I had some free time, so I finally decided to try Disco Elysium it has been quite a while since I last played an isometric RPG, and so far I am really likening it.
What are your favorite video game genres?
Currently, probably Roguelike since I usually only play for shorts period of time. But when I had more time I really enjoyed Strategy games – AOE2, Civ and RPGs Baldur’s Gate, Dragon Age, Mass Effect.
What have you gotten in terms of games recently for January, if anything?
Just the Disco Elysium.
Disco Elysium is great. I played it for the second time a little while back and had so much fun. There should be more games like this but AAA studios and publishers are creatively bankrupt and communists seem to not make video games sadly.
Been playing Age of Empires 2, and I recently got Rain World on sale and played a bit of it too.
I’ve been mildly disappointed by some of the AOE2 campaigns, some of them are lackluster IMO. I have the “HD” version (original + Conquerors expansion + Forgotten Empires) and a lot of the newer campaigns feel a little rushed or something idk. Maybe I want to try AOE3 again? The newest edition has African, Asian, and Native American nations which is really cool.
Rain World is conflicting. It’s a great aesthetic play, and I like the early game where everything is new and challenging. However I got a ways in and I got stuck in a stupidly hard area, and many other areas I recently discovered were likewise way too challenging. I play videogames to occasionally relax a bit, not have a whole ass second job where I have to sweat hard just to pull off a perfect play, no thanks. It’s been a big turn off not gonna lie.
I think Rain World 2 (I think there’s a second one) is supposed to be the best one… Unless I’m getting it confused with something else.
I played Call of Duty Mobile regularly just before my phone got rekt. I know play Halo Custom Edition.
OOF
Big ass oof indeed. Though thankfully I pirated Halo CE :3
Noice.
