The 28nm process will be the new starting point for 100 percent locally made chips, 28nm and 14nm chips are expected to be mass-produced this year and next year respectively.
Intel also has 5nm, but their supply is pretty unreliable so IIRC it’s currently only used on their higher end mobile chips, where the efficiency benefits of a smaller process node makes the most difference.
How many nm is a normal consumer chip like Intel i5 or Ryzen 5?

I saw in a recent video that Intel and AMD only design chips and all the chips are actually manufactured by TMSC.
Intel actually manufactures them themselves but everyone else uses TSMC
