Te real reason has nothing to do with capitalism, the reason because tech giants profits over data is because us as users wanted “cool things/apps” cheap or for free and we didn’t value enough the privacy we were giving in exchange fore those things.

Just see how much a phone really cost wen you take out all the benefits of giving up privacy (Librem 5 phone) and compare it to others in the market… If the people choose to give up their privacy there is no one else to blame but that people. Sure, some deals are tempting but you cant have the cake and eat it to.

We bought “”“free”“” apps or services paying with pivacy, now that isnt much left for us of that currency we’re aware of it importance, like everything in life is a process and people will learn.
