Reptilians don’t tend to understand human opinions and reasoning.

As a chef at a vegan restaurant, I would be completely ambivalent to the good life some reptilians live. But I’m not.

I, on the other hand, can’t understand why, in a big part of the normie Internet sphere, the Metaverse has been hyped and appreciated so much - by the same people that don’t know Mozilla had basically already created the Metaverse, many years prior, with Mozilla Hubs.

It looks like corporate artstyle in general. Honestly I’ll never get into VR in general, but I got acquaintances who are VRC junkies, and they show super neat stuff from there, meanwhile Facebook over here (I refuse to call it Meta. The ‘metaverse’ as a fiction concept was super cool and I am still salty zuck decided to make it the name of his ugly-ass experiment) with this personality-free uncustomisable garbage.

Even Habbo Hotel was better If someone like a virtualworls like this, there are better alternatives, for example Mozilla Hub, free, open source and account optional. https://hubs.mozilla.com, although the design is somewhat…ehm.

Nope. Zuck and the other people leading Facebook have absolutely 0 taste and all they know is how to buy or copy competitors.

Now that Tiktok is crushing Instagram, Zuck needs a new buzzword to keep stock values high. That’s why he pivoted to the Metaverse.

Yup, I think that’s the motivation as well. What’s hilarious is that this kind of stuff’s been done before many times already with Second Life being a prime example. There’s nothing fundamentally different about Metaverse except that now you have to buy hardware to even use it. I expect it’s going to be a huge flop in the end, and we’re already seeing signs of that with lukewarm reception and their stocks starting to tank.

This somehow looks even worse than that Puerto Rico disaster zone “tour” from a few years back.
