LMAO it’s not Russia that claims the conflict is in a stalemate, it’s western media. Meanwhile, what Russia is saying is that they’re planning a big offensive before winter.

And calls for diplomacy are also coming from US publications like National Interest.

Finally, it’s pretty clear that Russia has plenty of resources and people available. That’s not even debatable.

So I guess the account is saying that US mainstream media is doing Russian propaganda?

I’d suggest to Mikey to stop trying to wage the war on tweeter, put his money where his mouth is and join the frontlines. If Russian defenses are on the brink of collapse as he’s implying, there should be minimal risk of injury.

Or maybe he’s a lying coward, what do I know.

If Ukraine is winning and Russia is out of soldiers, then how is the war continuing? Why do they need more money and F-16s?

The enemy is weak and at the same time strong, Russia at the same time is collapsing in itself, and it is still a huge threat that needs to send billions in equipment, weapons, vehicles, fighters and billions in credit to Ukraine.

    1. Ukrainian forces have managed to take 8 villages, one of which is literally named “5 houses”. These villages stand in 2 small separate areas (30 square km total) on the Zaporozhian front, and both areas are in front of the main Russian defensive lines. Meaning the main Russian defenses have not been breached and after more than a month of fighting and thousands of casualties, Ukraine achieved none of its operational objectives. Meanwhile, Russian forces have initiated their own attacks on the North and around Bakhmut, which are rapidly making gains.
    1. Last week, the US tried making overtures for possible negotiations (take the areas you want and let Ukraine join NATO), which Russia declined mockingly. It is not in Russia’s interests to freeze the conflict. Russia probably does not want to annex the whole of Ukraine, but the way the war is going, they just might. At the very least they are in a position to enforce all their terms (annex Russian-speaking territories, denazify Ukraine and impose Ukrainian neutrality). On the other hand Ukraine is starting to recognize that it can’t keep this up, and would ideally like a ceasefire so it can rearm itself (as happened after the Minsk accords as Angela Merkel admits).

    2. Russia has around 30 to 40 thousand dead. Ukraine has closer to half a million dead, and probably as many wounded. From Russian Defence Mjnistry press releases, Ukraine is losing on average 500 soldiers per day. Even US sources are begrudgingly admitting that Ukraine can not win as it is fighting against a better equipped, better coordinated, more technologically advanced, and more populous army.

The Ukrainians and Russians don’t release their own, but the Russians do release daily what they’ve inflicted on the Ukrainians, which is where I’ve got the average. By that average, and taking into account Bakhmut and the current disastrous counter-offensive, the Ukrainians have lost around 200 000 dead this year alone.

We also know for sure that there are at least 50 000 Ukrainian amputees, as advertised by US prosthetics companies that have been servicing them. Generally, in modern war, the number of amputees is about a fifth of the wounded and the wounded is about equal to the number of dead. So at least a quarter million dead Ukrainians.

Finally, these estimates allign with US internal estimates (from intelligence services and the Pentagon) and have been quoted by US officials in leaked documents. They recognize that the Russians have lost around 50 000 or less dead, and that the kill ratio is 1 Russian for 8-10 Ukrainian. So by this estimate, we get 400-500 000 dead Ukrainians.

When Ukrainian officials are making big talk about Russia being in trouble it is usually a blatant projection of how things are going for the Ukrainians themselves.

Judging from this tweet, the Kiev regime is fucked

If this isn’t just some moron who is making crap up, what would be the point of posting such blatant lies? Anyone who makes decisions regarding the war in any respect whatsoever isn’t going to be reading Twitter for updates on the war. I don’t understand what the point is of posts like this.

There’s clicks and follows and maybe even professional advancement into a think tank from posting this shit. There was an OSINT site called Oryx who claimed to do “visual verification” of Russian armor losses.

A few months ago the guy running it said he’s given up on it. One of the reasons he cited was that he expected to get hired somewhere that pays a salary based on his work and that hasn’t happened.

He probably didn’t get hired because of his shitty methodology but his reason for quitting probably speaks to more of these pro-Ukraine grifters than would ever admit to it.

Point 3 has the tone of desperation and faith in the enemy’s imminent collapse that you’d find in Wehrmacht war journals in late 1941. There were a lot of Nazis writing shit like:

“October 12th, 1941: We turned aside another Soviet counterattack today. Fritz and Gunther didn’t make it and Hans was sent to the rear with one arm. This must be the last of the Bolshevik’s reserves. Onwards to Moscow!”

“October 15th, 1941: Another Soviet counter attack with a fresh Division. This must be the last of the Bolshevik’s reserves.”

“October 23rd, 1941: More Bolshevik counterattacks… please dear God let this be the last of them.”

“Octoher 28th, 1941: Yet another fresh Soviet Di-”
