Also why should white cells get to decide which organism is friendly or not? Sounds kinda authoritarian doncha think? Abolish immune system! Also consider replacing it with US airbases because they ensure wholesome democracy UwU

the quoted tweet is actually correct. Anarchists obviously can’t wrap their heads around it, comparing focusing on organizing with wage labor

I don’t get the “not with org members”… Is it about all those times that cops and whatnot infiltrated to try and have emotionally tied members to spy on them or manipulate them?

I would assume that’s part of it, in addition to just wanting to avoid messy relationships in a body trying to work like an effective political organization. Personally as long as drama doesn’t seep into the political work I would have no problem with comrades seeing each other outside of the org, case by case basis IMO.

Orgs should be treated (somewhat!) like jobs imo and positions of hierarchy should be viewed with the same critical eye as one would at a workplace. Relationships between a manager and a worker under that manager can be inappropriate because of an imbalance of power and the possibility of the worker receiving either disciplinary actions for personal issues or preferential treatment at work. Same should be true for party cadre and party leadership I think. The U.S. left has run into some pretty big optics problems with dating between cadre and their leadership; PSL had an issue with it, CPUSA has issues with it, DSA has lots of issues with it, etc. Keep it out of the org as much as possible and inform higher-ups of pre-existing relationships one might have between party leaders and cadre, or interest in forming such a relationship, to see what can be done to prevent issues from arising in the event of a breakup or something.

Also there’s def a stereotype of DSA dudebros going to meetings not to organize but to scout for potential sexual partners, that ime seems pretty accurate, as in they definitely exist. Being a little stricter about it dissuades that type of misogyny I think. It’s definitely difficult to know where to draw the line though because it’s absolutely normal and obvious for communists to be attracted to other communists, and meetings is where you’re most likely to meet lol

What do they think happens during ‘org time’? Have they ever been to a meeting? Do they think we all just sit around in some grungy basement, smoking, drinking, doing party drugs and being edgy?

Work has to been done when you join a party. Research, looking for funding, scheduling meetings with people etc. I don’t go around at my job looking for people to fuck. I do my job. That’s why I’m there. Being a sex addicted edgelord is something for your own free time if you must.
