Also, it’s funny how Americans said that they were going to push Biden to the left and are now within a year coming up for reasons why supporting a Nazi movement is not necessarily bad.

lol. It still blows me away how quickly the Americans forgot about the immigrant detention facilities. A 1 second google search shows there are currently over 20k people locked up right now which is up substantially from when the old pres left office. Push him left indeed. With rising inflation and commodity prices, which will most likely escalate now due to the sanctions, and be felt by average Americans, I think there will be some serious instability politically and economically on the horizon although Americans never cease to amaze me with their laziness so maybe they’ll all just stay home and post about it

the west ended its future with the sanctions on russia. imho they engaged in a illegal war, but the west really shot them selfs in the foot now that russia, china, etc are trading in roubles and yuan instead of the dollar.

It really is scary how the narrative here has shifted practically overnight. Two months ago, neither our Neocon Green Party, nor the rest of the political establishment would have dared to openly support something like this.
But that was two months ago. If you dare speak against the Bundeswehr or NATO on German social media these days, you can count yourself lucky if “Russian bot” is the worst thing they call you.
We can see consent being manufactured in real-time, and nobody even seems to notice. The very same smug Internet Germans who, only two months ago, were still reminding everyone of their superiority to brainwashed Americans are now turning into obedient little yes-men for the military-industrial complex themselves.

The ease at which the political establishment manipulated large parts of the public to root for warmongering and militarism genuinely scares me. People are already calling for everyone who doesn’t stand with “national security” above all else to be silenced. How long will it take until we slip into open fascism once more?

10 days later: FUCK RUSSIA FUCK CHINA SLAVA UKRAINE I AM GOING TO TRASH RUSSIAN SHOPS IN THE STREETS AND START DOING TOTALLY NOT FASCIST STUFF BECAUSE THE GOVERMENT TOLD ME ITS OK TO HATE RUSSIANS IF YOU ARE DOING IT FOR UKRAINE, I LOVE DEMOCRACY AND I LOVE FREE SPEECH!!!

I am glad that we can still count on the Russians to fight fascism when the need arises. Neutrality just means siding with the dominant power more often than not.

No, that’s understandable. I do not want to be drafted either, especially not to fight for German “national interest”.

Just made the mistake of reading comments under an Afghan famine post on reddit. In no way do I support the Taliban but according to Reddit just because they are the ruling party in Afghanistan sanctions and resulting famine are justified I guess.

You can have legitimate criticism of all parties involved (US/Western World, Taliban etc.) and still not want people to die of hunger. Even saw a person saying this is what you get when you let the Taliban take over in a day lmao. Everything is just a movie for them it seems.

Like, I genuinely don’t understand how something like communism can be seen as bad (it’s because of propaganda, I know). Even when I try to explain that I’m a communist to friends and family and whatever, people get anxious and stuff. And then claim it doesn’t work etc. And I think: even if this doesn’t work, would trying to bring a system that puts the 99,99% of people into power be a bad idea? It can’t be worse than having a select few make decisions for us which have proven to fuck us over numerous times.

It’s really repulsive to see indeed. Like, the Afghan people didn’t choose to have the Taliban take them over. In fact there’s still resistance groups fighting an ongoing war against the Taliban. But Amerikkkans being Amerikkkans only see these innocent people as NPCs in a game, not as actual humans.

Caught my uncle spreading fake news claiming a video about a building getting bombed to the ground was from ukraine. It was from Gaza.
