Biden’s urge to get us all killed in nuclear hellfire strikes again. Just because he’s so close to death doesn’t mean we all have to go with him

Can’t blame only him considering the fact that Russia does nothing against it when the US is know for escalation.

It’s not good to blame the victim but when the victim does have the power to do something about it but does nothing it just makes things worse for everyone else as the agressor will take it as an invitation and double down against them and everyone else too.

I guess we will see where this leads us but I’m not sure this path is as good as one that had some resistance.

I can understand Russia’s reticence, given that the U.S. is always foaming at the mouth to do something horrifically evil and aggressive, and the U.S. will fucking consider a pigeon landing on a NATO commander’s head to be a Russian plot. But you’re right in that Russia in hindsight should have gone more tit for tat.

Russia has stated they will hit back.

The fact is these weapons are given by the US, targeted based on US intelligence from operators outside Ukraine, and almost certainly fired with a push of the button by US forces or only upon US approval. The US is entering the war as a direct combatant and Russia claims to be growing tired of their salami-slicing tactics (honestly who can say though, the war of words has been at maximum for a while now and Russia seems to be trying to manage the west to prevent escalation which unfortunately allows some degree of escalation and may be taken as weakness by the west and a sign to push things up to the point there is no going back).

Russia has stated they reserve the right to strike the US, any parts of NATO responsible for this (intelligence centers, etc) in retaliation AND that if the US escalates in response to such strikes that they will deploy and use nuclear weapons.

Things are getting very bad, very quickly as the failing west desperately tries to hold onto its hegemony. Russia is fully aware of what their victory means for that hegemony and the west seems so as well. So we’re stuck between a rock and a hard place. Russia cannot accept a rump state along current lines armed to the teeth by NATO, the west cannot accept a loss.

Will we all die in nuclear fire? Will saner heads prevail? I know it’s not reasonable but I kind of wish for a movie moment here, for trains and trains of DPRK or Chinese soldiers to show up at the Ukraine front, overwhelm the Ukrainians and quickly put an end to the conflict before the west can escalate.

The rulling classes never showed any concern over killing millions of people. I dont think they grew any empathy meanwhile. This madness will end in war, be it a civil war inside the US, or a world war set to kill billions (with the B) of people. The US didnt do all it did in the past years preparing for war to just give up now. Either the power to do this war is taken away from the rulling classes in the US or they will go ahead

We’re not anywhere near a revolutionary moment. 30% of the country is convinced Russian influence operations control a lot of the country and installed Trump and are trying to destroy the US entirely. 40% of the country (overlapping with above somewhat) is convinced China is trying to destroy and control us with tik-tok and the rest are mostly too tired, too beat down by bad labor conditions and life to care to think on it one way or the other.

US civil war is a meme. It’s not happening anytime soon, even the strongest moments of BLM were minor and the US is far too good at managing things at home and distracting the masses. We’re decades out from discontent and economic conditions getting bad enough that there’s anything resembling an insurrection and it won’t be red states vs blue states but uprisings in cities that grow and grow and refuse to be extinguished as they get more intense.

World war it is then if you’re right. And likely nuclear because Russia can’t win against US and NATO without devastating losses and a huge mandatory mobilization. China won’t intervene because that’s against their foreign policy. The DPRK could I suppose decide letting the US host nuclear weapons in the occupied south is unacceptable and launch an attack to retake the south and catch the US with their pants down but I’m skeptical they will either.

Though I suppose Russia could blink at the last moment and decide they’ll tolerate a heavily armed, NATO-ified rump state on their border rather than go to nuclear war. Russia’s reluctance all along has worsened things for them and I’m not entirely convinced they’re over it. The amount of times they talk about wanting talks comes off as almost pleading really which signals weakness to the vicious west and I’m afraid probably could lead to escalation from the west mis-analyzing all this as a sign that if they just push them a bit more they’ll sue for peace or give up. Then again this all could also just be western bluff and bluster and they could be out of ideas other than playing Nixon’s “madman” card against Russia and hoping they back down.

I highly doubt we’ll die in a nuclear fire, and I’m 90 percent sure than saner heads will prevail. I highly doubt the west all actually do anything over Ukraine.

I would love Chinese, Cuban, DPRK troops and Congolese socialists to show up suddenly and propel the UkraNazis.

Even if he doesn’t win the presidency, it’s likely he’d be sent to the notoriously comfy Federal Medical Center in Butner, NC because they’ll find he has some medical ailment like Bernie Madoff did… somewhere every prisoner that knows about it is requested to be sent to but denied however mysteriously it happens to be a place they JUST HAPPEN to accept all rich and powerful people with connections.

Isn’t Russia open to stopping the military operation at the current borders? Zelenskyy seems to be looking for negotiation (which already won’t favor him). Peace is on the table if the puppet regime is willing to make some concessions.

Ukraine is done and they know it. They don’t have the people. Young people don’t want to fight and are fleeing the country. Expanding the conscription kidnapping program will only increase casualties for an already demoralized, overage and underqualified army. We’ve seen what all the NATO toys are really worth.

Zelenskyy is done, too, and there’s no way around that. His term has expired and is now an unelected dictator imposing martial law, which everyone loves, of course. His best chance of exiting this thing alive would be to surrender and live out his life in a Russian prison, or some faction or another within Ukraine will surely have him publicly executed.

In Ukraine’s position, more toys and escalation means an even swifter reprisal. If they’re losing now, why give Russia any reason to take it further? I think the Ukraine puppet regime knows how much they have to lose now. Maybe not as much at the top level, but the military is feeling it for sure. Fertile ground for a military coup, if not a revolution. Negotiating peace now is in the best interest of maintaining any kind of stable state.

Maybe, but how long can he really hold on to power at this point? We already know he’d lose if elections were held. If he surrenders or gives up an inch of dirt, the Banderites will hang him from a lamp post in Kiev (they’ve said as much and we have every reason to believe them). If he refuses peace and keeps the meat grinder going under martial law, he risks mutiny, coup, revolution or civil war – or maybe all of the above.

I don’t think anyone in Ukraine wants to see Z stay in power, aside from the CIA.

If Zelensky tries to engage in peace negotiations without the support, and protection of, the west, he will be killed by either the west or one of the fascist officers beneath him. This is why he keeps asking and will not ever try to do this himself.

Unfortunately, villains getting punished rarely happens outside of fiction and books for children. In the reality they just retire with millions of dollars (in his case it’s probably billions tho) stolen for themselves and their children.
Whatever the outcome - be it WW3, total genocide of Ukrainians or whatever else - the scumbag will probably be remembered in the history books as a hero who stood up to Russia. There will be no remark that “standing up” in that case means kidnapping people from the streets and being responsible for deaths of those who unsuccessfully tried to escape his prison by rivers/mountains.
That said, I still hope that someone will murder this piece of shit

I don’t like to indulge wishful thinking and fantasy much, either. I am trying to look at this from a materialist lens, though.

I mention it elsewhere in this thread, but Zelenskyy has no real base of support within Ukraine. He will never be “pure” enough for the Banderites. Polling has shown that he wouldn’t win in an election against Zaluzhnyi, who is more or less the Banderite and militarists guy. After dismissing Zaluzhnyi, I think we all half-expected there to be a military coup. The Banderites have threatened to kill him multiple times (personally, I think he’s only still alive because he’s the money guy). The communists and anti-fascists want to see him violently overthrown. The rest of the citizens of Ukraine are prisoners living in a fascist police state run by an unelected dictator, who’s pushing them into an impossible meat-grinder.

Ukrainians know he’s blocked multiple peace deals that they would have been totally amenable to. Consider that the Istanbul peace deal that the US/UK torpedoed would only have required that Ukraine not join NATO. What Ukrainian civilian would have been willing to risk nuclear war just to join NATO, just so the west can park nukes on another Russian border, risking yet more nuclear war right in their front yard?

Grim conditions for someone trying to stay in power. The west can try to spin it all they like, but the western media bubble cheering him on is totally divorced from the conditions and opinions inside Ukraine. Historically speaking, the material conditions of Ukrainians are going to be the real determining force for Zelenskyy, no matter how many suburban white people in Kansas paint their faces on instagram.

Biden was also responsible for the Iraq war if that’s what you are alluding to in terms of getting the Dems onboard (tough sell I am sure lol). Biden also took part in multiple crime bills that sent people of color to prison in massive numbers. You might be correct that bush is more evil, but the gap might be very slim.

American/ western supremacy or we burn the earth. Those are the options they are proposing. This POTUS is the most evil before the next one because the contradictions are piling up. The returns on capital getting smaller. They desperately need to get a hold of Russian and other natural resources for pennies on the dollar again to make the empire last another few decades.

My only fear is they will pivot towards people that may not be able to defend themselves well, but they have those resources with a few exceptions already.
