My issue is even if that’s true it kind of doesn’t matter because it’s making the people who are ACTUALLY racist/homophobic/name your bigotry flavor feel comfortable enough to be genuinely horrendous. Fucking with the Overton window like that ain’t cool.
It’s also just generally much easier to have and express extremist views when you’re 14 years old. That shit usually gets unpalatable as your brain matures though, and you figure out why we don’t actually live like the rest of the animal kingdom.

if you aren’t a racist … you get to have some fun … and tell everyone you are fake
