Okay, sure—if you check the Steam Hardware Survey, Linux machines make up only a bit above 1% of all Steam users. That number’s set to rise soon, though.

I wonder why years old articles show up in my feed from time to time.
Lemmy bug or bot activity? It’s an issue with hot and when somebody comments it now also shows on active.
We’re at 1.45% now!
Thanks so its basically bullshit. I’m happy with the direction everything is going but it’s not there yet.

Its pathetic. 76% of the top 1k games run at gold or better.
The way redditors talk about Linux youd think the only games were Halo or Apex.

pc no long means just windows as both linux and apple operating system cut microsoft’s capitalism wrists
It’s annoying to see so many people complaining about billionaires and Bill Gates in particular, but still using Windows and other Microsoft products
I feel you, but also keep in mind that these people are victims as well. The reasons not to switch are getting fewer and fewer, but they still exist and those in power intend on fighting to keep it that way.
It’s a shame, but changing the status quo isn’t really a matter of convincing more people to switch (though it certainly won’t hurt)…if anything, they’re the ones missing out.
True. I won’t talk about the stats but it’s been a long time since I wanted to dayly drive Linux, but my gaming habits kept bringing me back to windows. But this year for the first time, I switched and didn’t looked back !
xCloud also making a dent on this front. Signed up a week ago and so far loving it.
