I think that #1680 goes too far and hides too much information of removed content, making the mod log useless. For example, here is a removed post: This used to have the title, text and link still ...

Currently it blanks out the content ( IE the post title, etc ) when you go to a mod removed post, but you will still see the title in the modlog.

Should we continue to blank out mod removed posts and communities, or show their content when you go to them?

    Might you not want to be able to preserve the offending post so that the poster can be brought to justice?

      The post title is still in the modlog. I could also add the description there too.

        I was thinking that if the police or someone like that got involved then it would be better to have the entire unaltered thing available, so that rather than delete it from the db it should just not appear in the front end.

          Hosting illegal content puts site administrators at risk, not the people posting the content.
