My mind is completely blank now, I can’t really think of a really scary stuff.

What about you?

2 of my friends and I (around 16 at the time) were spending the night with my friend’s relative who lives in a school (he is a janitor/security). The school was around 500 meter away from any other house/road, and there were trees everywhere. The school had 3 floors, but the third floor has been unused for a few years. We were sitting in his room in the ground floor, with his wife.

As we were talking, we could hear doors slamming shut all evening. After a few times, my friend asked whats the deal with the doors. His wife just said “They are from the third floor, can you guys go and close them please”. Her husband glared at her and then told us that we don’t have to. We thought he was just annoyed at her for asking us to do something, so we insisted that it was okay and we’ll do it. After some back and forth, he told us that he believes that there are ghosts there, and that weird things happen all the time. We laughed and told him that ghosts aren’t real and that we will prove it to him.

So we went to the third floor, and there was absolutely no light. You couldn’t see your hand even if you placed it right in front of your face. We all left our phones downstairs, so we had no light source except for a lighter my friend had. No doors were slamming so we walked a bit and all the doors were close shut. I examined one of the doors to see how it could open, and when I touched it, a door behind us slammed. We all started yelling and ran downstairs. When the janitor saw us, he just kept saying “I told you not to go!” repeatedly. We took our stuff and left the place. He quit like 3 months after.

Even back then after the incident, I knew it wasn’t ghosts, and it was just the wind, as I don’t believe in the supernatural. But in the moment that it happened? Logic was not part of the equation. Only fear.
