It is literally a standard pocket knife length blade as part of a multi-tool. It is half the length of a dinner plate knife… That basically means zero pocket knives can be carried in the UK? I do have a bladeless version designed for carrying on flights, but it has very few tools on it. That is another option I’d opt for otherwise.

The law makes no mention of any fixator, what is that? My knife blade is just under 2.8" so that passes. But as I say, there is certainly an airline approved version with no blade - that has been outa few years now. The gov website only says “a folding blade with a cutting edge 3 inches long or less”.

Mine is the Charge TTi. Locking blades though are not mentioned as a restriction for folding pen knifes under 3" blades.

Ah thanks that is a lot more specific - I see now what they mean by a locking blade not being a folding penknife… Wow, that does not leave much left over, including my straight razor (although it does not lock…). I had a bad experience years ago with a penknife blade that did not lock at all - was trying to work a small hole in a ceiling and the blade slammed shut on my finger, slicing it down to the bone. A reason why I try never to use a penknife without a locking blade. But seems if I’m travelling, this is going to be a challenge. This Leatherman PS though at https://www.leatherman.com/style-ps-25.html is the one I’m referring to that has no blade.
