    If one only needs a “viewer account”, I would encourage to really use the Mastodon account. I find this the simplest and quickest solution across multiple Peertube instances. At least I can say it works for me flawlessly.

        May I ask what a “video-watching interface” actually is? I have never heard of this, and a quick internet search did not provide any useful information either.

            Got it. Thank you for clarification. Yes, that I understand perfectly. I do the same, if possible. I just comment using Mastodon account instead of any particular Peertube account, but watching videos with Mastodon is much less comfortable, true.

        Hosting as your own instance, or hosting as uploading your videos? Either way, I have no knowledge in these regards, so I am afraid I will not be able to help you in any meaningful way. You will definitely need a PeerTube instance with your own PeerTube account, AFAIK. If you want to simply have a place to post your videos, the simplest solution would be to find an instance that suits your needs and requirements the best. I would take a look at joinpeertube.org site probably for that, but other than that, I have no idea.
