Personally I think not having karma limits is nice currently! I understand why they were used but grinding karma as a lurker on reddit was frustrating.

    I mean it was always arbitrary in that you could voice the same opinion in the same thread, just in different parts and one comment would be upvoted enormously and the other comment would be negative. My issue with it is that people don’t really bother to follow through and reply anymore, even to respectfully disagree or explain why they think you’re wrong. It’s just a tool to silence or discredit people you disagree with considering most users intuitively believe that consensus = correctness and dogpile upvotes or downvotes.
