minus-square@Bitnik@beehaw.orglinkfedilink3•1 year agoRight now it just occurred to me (after more than 3 decades of handling them) that IPv4 octets are nearly always presented in decimal form. Hex would seem more natural, and the analogous elements of IPv6 addresses are indeed presented in hex.
