Woah… This kind of looks strange… Why not giving the option to the creator for the community to fusion with other communities of the same name?
Or being able for a user to follow all the communities called c/privacy from any server. 🤔
Because that would be a lot more complicated. We will keep the initial version simple, because activitypub is already complicated enough.
You’re talking about distributed communities, that’s way more complicated even in theory. How do you think a joined community made from two communities on different servers should be moderated and by whom? What should happen if a moderator from one of the servers decides to delete the community on their server? Or rename it? Or change the rules?
