it can type in where your curser is and its VERY satisfying to watch it circumventing those archaic no-paste fields.
I think they pretty much all do since integrating a real 2fa app would have to go through ten different approval processes and then also get approved by their federal insurance and stuff. Banks are some of the most inefficiently run institutions around.
My bank blanks out the username and password fields with other text on submission. Not sure what the intention was, but it means that Firefox and password managers will remember the wrong information.

I use rofi-pass with passwordstore.org
It uses xdotool to emulate keystrokes so it works on my bank website.
Rofi-pass? Is it some kind of pass fork?

Your password is invalid. The maximum length is 12 letters.
