At least incels are more or less ideologically consistent. The Trump loyalists - the ones who would do intellectual backflips to justify every word out of his mouth - followed the man himself. He has few solid opinions. I think the most consistent theme I’ve heard is that he’s been wronged (or his supporters have been wronged) and it’s time to take back the country. All other policy matters are up for revision, sometimes within the same sentence.

Hell in a sense they are ideologically consistent, the logic is just that whatever Trump says is automatically true lmao. I do love to laugh at their flip flopping too, though. For instance like how before the vaccine dropped they were all “trump’s vaccine is the answer to all life’s problems” and the dems were all “I will never trust a trump vaccine” and now the trumpers are all “I will never trust the vaccine” and the dems are like “the vaccine is the answer to all life’s problems” and the BEST part is that neither side even remembers their previous position from a few months previous. Hell they even supported things they’ve always been against under him, like the bump stock ban and red flag laws, they never would have supported that under anyone else except maybe their last deified leader, Ronald Reagan.

Edit: oh forgot to mention, that bit about “been wronged” is actually textbook cult leader material, and I should know because I am in a cult praise “Bob”. Every cult needs an enemy, see: The Anti Cancer Temple by Tobias Antony Crump. Among other things, they feed off of a victim mentality.
