I have head cannon that says we have some innate anti-incest genes in us that make people we’re related to less attractive to avoid inbreeding problems.

But yeah you can easily reply and talk about cousins, since we’re not that related to them.

How about if i editted the title to say “If 2 people who are more distantly related than 2nd cousins spend enough quality time together, do romantic feeling develop 95% of time?”

I’m assuming you don’t have a incest gilf complex going on, so you’re not sexually/etc compatible with her

The importance of vid quality controls
I often use YouTube/invidious over odysee or peertube due to my devices lagging either due to the device being low spec or internet connection or something else. A bunch of Odyssey and peertube videos are only available at 720p or 1080p. I'm consistently told I don't need a gaming computer and 100 Mbps to play 1080p videos without lag, but 1080p videos have been a problem across every device I've ever owned in my life, and the best device I've owned was a pixel 6, and on 75 Mbps connection. Inb4 I'm told this is my problem I should just deal. So videos of being automatically scaled down to 360p or 480p would help a lot with adoption.

If 2 people spend enough quality time together, do romantic feeling always develop?

It's nice to watch media produced in hk. They have small apartments there too.
It gets sublimely discouraging to have the american dream of big house in the suburbs shoved in your face by every american media. In hk it looks like it costs them an arm and a leg for a small apt, which i totally feel

Getting blocked is seen as an achievement (of sorts): Problem solves itself.

Do you know when you're gonna be paid?
I do for my jobs that pay me daily. But for the ones that are suppose to pay every 2 weeks or so, i have no idea. My coworkers talk about the pay days that happen once/2 weeks. I assume they're still in the pay check to pay check situation so they particularly pay attention? I guess i'll try to figure out when i'm suppose to get paid so i can see if my boss is shorting me since someone else here said they were being short changed.

Most people in the hood don't know what acab means?
At least the hood here. Why? I figured ppl who live/spend a lot of time in the hood would know what acab means. I've also only seen acab graffiti irl once ever and that was during the big black lives matter protests of like 2019.

Ehh not bad, but iirc correctly the antiwork sub only started getting srs attention when it hit like 1.2 million

#fuckLandlords could work I think

Get some leftist tiktokers on this asap and this could pop off overnight. Any idea how to get some internet celebrities on this?

Maybe I’m viewing this wrong, but justifying owning your own property (ex 1 house) is one thing, but justifying landlords (own multiple properties) is another thing.

#fuckcars is an actual hashtags that is regularly used on Mastodon! I never thought fuckcars had a chance but now I think it might!

A simple #fucklandlords? Since that works for fuckcars.

Hmm, maybe all people that rent already feel like landlords are shit?

We could do with hashtags to try to convert ppl who don’t rent to be anti landlord or smthg

Why isn't there a mainstream "all landlords are bastards" or something similar?

Uno reverse, tell me a situation where facial recognition is appropriate.

I guess if you’re self hosting your own facial recognition at like your house for your fam or whatnot that’s fine

track individuals with arrest records

My dude I think/hope you mean like convicts on the run. Lots of innocent people are arrested. Iirc a trial is needed to determine who’s a convict. Assuming prisons are ethical, which is another issue.

Just spit balling here: probably higher indigenous population.

Any other North Americans notice the demographics difference of those who bus?
A huge amount of not-caucasians, the caucasians who do ride are often old/disabled. Lots of students of all variety. I think that the whole car culture is more integral to Caucasian culture, at least over here. I think immigrants r more okay to ride buses. I was talking to a Japanese lady at a bus stop and she said that eventually she might buy a vehicle due to the transit here sucking compared to Japan. I heard European pub buses is pretty good, at least compare to here.

Anyone found any science on how much we should hangout with friends?

My prince edwards is the best relationship movie i've ever watched. Any similar movies/tv shows you guys know off?
I find tv shows incredible lack luster relationship wise, artificial drama over very unrealistic stuff. cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ml/post/319108 > prob > > People talk a lot about 500 days of summer and thats definitely useful too.
